I agree. Both girls cheated on each other, and they tried to blame that on circumstance but I think it was always a sign they didn't have a strong relationship. It was coincidence they cheated on each other with the same guy (and a surprise that it was a guy). The MC has been the glue holding both those girls together for a long time. But to me its another reason they shouldn't break up, both of them need him. Relationships, like people can grow... you either choose to grow together or you drift apart. Seems like its being pushed into them drifting apart and I'm not happy about that because it feels forced and hamfisted.

I agree we've seen growth in Maya, and I'd like to see more of that in Josy.

I started liking Josy the most, but by this point I'm liking Maya more because, as you say, she's grown and Josy hasn't. Plus Josy feels odd to me now, like she's not quite Josy anymore. I don't know if this makes sense but one of the things that bugged me was that little speech she gives to the MC after their relationship has been discovered and Elena congratulates them. Josy says "We both just had to have him." and then proceeds to bitch about it and how it makes them look like they don't have integrity. Then later at the BBQ she plays the MC in strip beer pong and strips naked in front of everyone... really Josy did THAT convey integrity? Ultimately, I don't blame Josy... I blame the bad writing and inconsistent character portrayal.

There is growth from Josy through out the game like early on she scared of cumming to fast, then with being to nice and just going along and insecurities we see her coming out of that. Josy growth is a lot slower then Maya's Josy biggest thing is her insecurities and now that being taken care of

Just from a writing perspective, she has the start of a redemption arc that is really well done when the MC romances her.

I dunno... I doubt I could ever get past my utter disgust with Quinn. The way she exploits other people really bugs me. I'm no angel, I've done bad things in my own past... but I've never exploited, used or hurt people the way she does. Especially not with the sadistic disregard she does it. Honestly, Quinn, Buddy, Vinny... my impulse with all of them is 3 bullets center mass for each; I don't ever see the MC reacting that way... that's my own feeling, I intensely dislike all of them.

Tommy, needs his ass thoroughly kicked for repeat offenses and IMNSHO, when Tommy found out about the MC and Josy, the MC should have flattened Tommy right there and then. Apparently from what I've read in the Guide, Tommy makes a similar scene when he finds out Sage spent the night with the MC in his room, and one option is... "share Sage with Tommy" WTF. WHY would the MC ever offer that? Tommy boy... you seriously need your ass STOMPED.

But... what can I say, I have no issue with violence. Sometimes a punch in the nose is exactly what's required to teach a lesson.

Sorry, all this thinking about the Maya/Josy path, I had to get that bit about Tommy out of my system, that scene and how it affected things really aggravated me.

Depends on choices, but technically with the right playthrough you can persue all the Main girls up to chapter 8

btw at start of 11th i had a feeling that DPc will start make cross relationships from a scratch with main LIs.
Like: with Sage on Bella's path, with Josy on, idk, Jill's path, generally by +1 re-starting relationships for each of 5 main LI. (mainly coz of sad Josy if you're not on her path in 10th and 11th(9th too?), and the kiss with Sage at start of 11th(and i probably missed similar scenes in 9-10th) or just with 1 main LI on Others path. (but thats would made 5 extra paths, its too hard to maintain)
but thats all probably just a teasing you to go play path where that girl is your gf.

also at start of 11th by seeing Quinn's and Lana's part i thought that Quinn is now gonna ride to that Jill's sister Lana in another town to ask for help, like, Lana is actually just lost(Jill dont know about her being alive, and those dudes in scene Quinn's friends)

Fair point, and you said it better than I did. There has been some but its been much slower. Both of them have had a lot of insecurities and they're growing out of it at different rates.

I'll disagree with Lagunavii that its ground for Josy and Maya to break up (if it was just the two of them, then yeah, I would see it that way but the MC is another variable to the equation). People grow apart, but they can also rebuild that and come back together and M & J have the advantage of the MC being something helping hold them together. I think the relationship is far from being beyond repair. But in the end its going to come down to what DPC does and it doesn't look like we'll get all the choices we would like, even when they're obvious choices people would want. Shrug...

Plus, VNs, and novels in general are about escapist entertainment. We don't want all the tragedy and horror of the real world... we get enough of that every day. Sometimes its nice, even if its just fictional characters, to read about three people who figure out how to overcome things and make it work and actually get to live happily ever after.

I was hoping the MC would get to a similar place with Maya and Josy, but I'm not optimistic about that at this point.

Given where things left off... Sally might be headed towards agreeing with you. I think Sally being around Magnar had her head filled with nightmare stories about how bad all the other frats and the HOTs are. But now that she's been partying with the DIKs, she's starting to seem them for who they are... and yeah some are assholes, but some a good people. I think her doing that is why Magnar kicked her out and Sally might also be a key piece to unraveling Magnar's plot... you gotta wonder just how much she knows.
