Josy called MC and not Maya in ep3 because she wants to go forward with him not Maya but mc ruins it by being a pussy.

yes MC annoys me a lot on the M&J route, that whole playthrough is very sloppy. But you just proved my point that Josy would gladly cheat on maya and even ditch her for MC if she was sure she wouldnt be alone.

Because the way she moves screams "professional victim" to me. i am not saying objectively that is one and only truth, i am just saying that is how i see it, and i have lot of proof to back it but everything is up to interpretation.
You can dislike maya for acting like victim all the time, but to me i can understand maya because she IS a victim (as you acknowledge). with maya it is not the matter of is she but rather does that excuse her behavior. And no, i dont think it does, but at least i can always look at her sitaution and say "ok, fair. it sucks but i understand when she comes from."
Josy constantly complains how hard her situation is or how unhappy she is but she only have herself to blame yet somehow she tries to make it others fault. Yes i said MC shares the blame for sex scene in her house (if it happens). but that does not mean its MC's fault that Josy cheated on maya. he did not rape josy, she was the one who instigated the sex scene.and then she acted like victim when her choices blew in her face. she is reason MC gets kicked out of his room, luckily, in every playthrough derek lets him crash in his dorm so he wont sleep on the street but that is hindsight. maya and josy would kick MC out of his own room regardless. and then when MC does not want to talk to josy she feels hurt. this is just one of many instances of what i mean when i say she is professional victim.
she cheats on her girlfriend with you, kick you on the street and then acts offended when you suddenly feel certain way about her that does not please her.
or how she wants to date MC but choose to stay with Maya and is then acts all passive aggressive about situation she is in
Or how the moment mc and others find out in how much deep shit maya is and they all come around to support her, help her out, suddenly josy pulls out the "nobody is paying attention to me" card and feels unhappy in relationship (even if you are on MJ playthrough and try to keep both of them happy).
and speaking of MJ route, if you spend more time with maya than with josy then she will be jealous. but if you spend more time with josy than maya then that just helps josy realize how much she would prefer to be with mc alone and avoid maya drama rather than make throuple work.
yes its all comes down to DPC failing to write the throuple properly, but bottom line is that the way they are written, josy is just attention seeker, professional victim player and lowkey victim blamer if we take in account how much stuff she blames maya and her situation for.

what I said, is that regardless of player influence, MC biggest upset comes from the fact that Josy "boyfriend" is Maya,
may that is what you misunderstand a bit ,

to be honest i never liked Josy. she is just full of red flags for me and every time i learn something new about her or i see her do something different/new i feel more inclined to metaphorically move to other side of street.
As if the support for cheating dad was not bad enough i was willling to focus on the positives of that POV. and trust me it was not easy to find the way to be optimistic about supporting dad divorcing your mom but i did my best. By divorcing josy mom dad made him, his new partner, and seemingly josy happy (comparatively speaking as she would probably be less happy if her parents remained in jaded marriage and constantly fighting), while only person being heartbroken is josy mom

so like ok, lets not judge it too soon. but that all changes when we find out "boyfriend" she talked about is maya and MC gets kicked on the street. Because now the whole dad thing is not "outside of the box" thinking and is just cheating mentality.
OFC josy will support her dad cheating when she herself is more than willing to cheat on maya that she kinda dates. and that completely ruined her character for me. Sure, MC can share some blame for the cheating part but that does not justify her part

cherry on top, if MC does take josy offer and sleep with her, josy has audacity to try and point fingers at him as if he is to blame when MC tries to tell her to fuck off over the texting messages. As if she wasnt just responsible for MC being kicked on the street with no promise of finding place to sleep in.

Then after the three of them have the conversation and MC decides to walk away to let other two have a chance, or maybe MC tries for something more but fails... you'd think josy character cant get any worse but then after the preps party we find out josy wanted to date MC but decided to pick "safe" route. that is really scummy and made me dislike her even more.

And even if MC is dating both of them, she would get jealous of all the opportunities maya and MC get (if you pick maya over josy more frequently).

then during halloween party the whole costume drama only makes things worse. Like, maya already have dad that does not let her live the life she wants so maya have to take wins where she can and then josy comes and says "no, fuck your happiness, think bigger picture. we will never save the money to get you out of this situation if we spend too much on costumes" and okay... lets try to be a bit objective here. There is room for interpretation here to say this is somewhat wholesome. Putting the small pleasures aside thinking on the bigger picture. sacrificing small things today for bigger happiness tomorrow and all that. But it screams hypocricy when you see how much money she then goes to spend later trying to "find herself"...
And as if that is not bad enough, later during bella's party we learn about her insecurities and how she feels suffocated in relationship... so now i cant help but feel the whole petty pity attitude back with the costume feels more like "you need to save money asap so that i can feel better about us", it comes off as selfish.

And lets not forget how annoying she was about halloween costumes only to then go and buy full BDSM setup. (not to mention how much i hate that CHICK mc suddenly is totally into BDSM with 0 hints about it up to that point so josy even manage to ruin MC character not only her own) AND she coerce Maya into BDSM session with MC.

And lets not forget that every scene with josy that does not involve maya is somehow focused on josy trying to find ways to spend time without maya or is all about "ME ME ME" aka herself, so like, why is she even in relationship with maya?
That couple/throuple is so doomed from beginning its not even funny, and i blame josy for most of it. In fact i blame josy extra hard because there is no option at all to pursue maya alone or during the conversation where options are either thouple or nothing there is no options to show how their relationship cant work out and that they should end it and just be friends and support each other (with then options to date one of them in season 2 and onwards)...

there is just so many red flags that when in later episodes game starts hinting that Josy likes MC more than maya it just feels once again that she would rather be with MC than deal with maya drama and try to make that work because that is safer and easier option once she learns about maya's family situation. SO its just repeat of season 2 plot where we find out she picks maya over MC because that was safer and easier choice.

so as i said, i am not saying josy is terrible character, i see positives but literally every scene made me feel like josy is more of a red flag and not my type of girl. i would stay away from josy in real life as far as i could. in my eyes she is typical "selfish" "i want to be popular" "its all about me" "professional victim" type of person

as long we are just discussing topic of cheating i am 100% agreeing with you on this. cheating is cheating. that is why i have 4 or 5 sage playthroughs and most of them i wait for hots party to have the talk in backyard where she says she is officially over with chad and asks mc again if that changes things and if he wants to give them a chance before starting the relationship with sage.
i am totally siding with you in that cheating IS cheating as long that is where sentiment stops. once you start using that sentiment as means to slander MC's character it becomes deeper issue. and i know people love to say "its not that deep" a lot these days, but yeah sometime it is

Probably made it hit home that he knew he was helping Josy cheat on Maya, and was being with Maya cheating on Josy, and he was involved with both, so therefor cheating, himself. Makes it hit hard, when you care about both other people, not some stranger getting cucked. In my view, he was in no way being hypocritical. He was actually dealing with his emotions and avoiding a tough conversation where people were definitely going to be hurt. There was no thought of a throuple at that point, from any of them. He was falling for both of them, and they were already in love with each other. It was a fucked situation.

Of all the girls Josy seems like the most happy to me and not as a act but because she truly happy. There only a few scene of a sad Josy.

Feels like it Maya doing most of the complaining and victim playing honestly don't think there a single scene of Josy playing the victim. While it awful what Patrick did to Maya she doesn't give her a pass for the truly bad things she has done. Maya acts like the whole world is against her but it isn't she to focus on her problems and wants everyone to know it.

Both Josy and Maya cheated on each other but in all fairness they felt like there relationship was over. But lets be totally honest which girl cared more about the other one's feelings, Josy. Maya didn't give a shit about Josy feelings and didn't care one bit that she was cheating on Josy. Where as Josy at least realize what was happening and ask's herself what I am doing.

Make no mistake while Josy does prefer MC over Maya, Josy is the reason Maya's loan problem is now over it was Josy that did everything she could to finish that for Maya.

While there is chance the throuple can be save I don't think it meant to be. Maybe not saying I love you yet gives you a chance but I think it more likely it gives you a change with one girl again or an option to date both for a time.
