Wow, playing the newest episode on main girl route is night and day experience from following a side girl. I felt really depressed when my 2 favorite ladies didn't get much content interacting with MC, I actually didn't try any of my other dozen saves for a while. But today I finished Jill path and it's still amazing to play even if I can't say that Jill is my favorite girl. In fact, I will load a save from her route a bit back and try some variations that got my curiosity piqued, but would derail from my planned route.

I do miss being a Massive DIK and doing minigames tho... I have been doing a lot of CHIC activity lately, I wanna kick some ass! So I guess Sage is the only main girl who doesn't mind DIK MC?

Sage path have some special moments which are much better for Chick/Neutral players, plus there is one point where you will get -1 Rp Sage on DIK path anyway.

It's interesting how DPC essentially pulled a 180 with Sage, the only DIK Main Girl is now pseudo-CHICK. Speaks a lot to her character development, but also to how the DIK system is rather busted.

We saw hints of Sage being a great, empathetic girl since early game, so looking back I'm not surprised she turned out this way.
But ofc you still can be a DIK and be in a successful relationship with her, and even Bella works with DIK.

This system is just a part of role-playing.

The system does affect opening/closing paths though. Being a DIK (title drop!) leads to a Jill rejection, or even a Maya/Josy rejection in Episode 4, but on the flipside it's needed for Quinn, or Lily if you couldn't get the blowjob for free as a non-DIK.

But you're right, even then it still feels more like flavor than substance.

The way I've always percieved it is she's attracted to the qualities of a DIK when she's looking (confident, brash, unfiltered), but then when she's emotionally invested, a neutral/chick MC is a more suitable partner

Which is the reverse story with Jill, who's getting all "DIK" like as a result of her being more open and emotional.

...which hopefully won't be a form of character assassination as she turns into a Sage-lite character.

Her character likes empathy and emotional awareness (ie not saying stupid stuff at stupid times, which is tremolo's whole thing)

The MC is such a moron during their talk on their date as a DIK It doesnt even make any sense why he thinks that stuff (that women are usually not thaaat driven), why does he think that?

Before he joined B&R there are barely any people with less experience with women and the only girl he knew (zoey) was like TOO driven (painting, skateboard, partying, changing places to go surfing) for him lol

I was previously wondering why Lily is so loyal to the Chick player, because it seemed OOC back then, in Ep.5. Now everything is clear, when I found out what kind of personality Lily is hiding.

Until we get something to directly contradict it, the DIK requirement in Episode 7 makes Lily, what I will call, a "soft DIK girl" like Sage
Unless it's another Nicole situation, but she required a DIK status check in the beginning, not affinity.

If Neutral works best, then the system is broken. There should have been desirable and expected options for for all 3 paths.
