Laugh she did NOT ask you to come in she just asked for help as she hides behind the door. Our master gentleman MC then barges in just trying to see her naked! Not that I blame him and poor little Sally can only say...

Ok, so I can't really deny the bitch part but she uses bitchiness as a defense mechanism. Unlike another white haired character who's bitchiness runs down to the core of her bitchy soul.

DAAMN I said it once and ill say it again, we will bang that ass EP12

As long as you have the mod installed for both you can import the end of 2 save no problem
problem is when a new update comes out, you have to wait for either updated mod, or an edited version of the episode with the wt detection flags removed

been meaning to ask for a while, how does the WT mod detection actually work? Is there one specific file that has the code for it?

There's actually a post pinned on the front page that talks about it, made by a nice user here. Basically DPC specifically targets Scrappy's mod.
Mod checks - Crash

- You have to download the unren tool
https://f95zone.to/threads/unren-ba...compiler-console-developer-menu-enabler.3083/
-Extract the .bat file in the game folder (ex:BeingADIK-S3v0.10.1\BeingADIK-S3v0.10.1\Game)
- Launch the bat file
- Choose option 1 Extract RPA packages
- Choose option 2 Decompile rpyc files
- Then we figure out which scripts has the "quit" line

BeingADIK-S3EP11\game\scripts
Update 11 scripts
Open the file with an editor, notepad, vsc, notepad +++, etc....
remove line 362 and 363. Save

Those are the only ones I found so far

Tremonia Did you find any others? I checked all the scripts in the free roam folder.

yeah i know about the specific lines that cause the game to quit, I'm more interested in how/where that variable is picked up.

In a typical game, you'd use something such as hash checking, if the script files are changed, the hashes won't match. This isn't a feature in Renpy, so maybe it's an actual python script somewhere in the game?

If it specifically targets Scrappy's mod, that makes me think it looks for whatever Scrappy's .rpa/rpyc file, what's to stop someone changing the file name and bypassing the check entirely

Fair point and definitely an issue for the day 1 folks. Personally I just hold off until the mod is updated as my experience is so superior with it that I don't mind waiting.

That's fair. My first couple of runs were with Scrappy's mod, but I've now played enough saves that when I play the game I remember exactly what choices I need lmao

The rare occasion i can't (The guess who panty game for example) I use URM but it's quite sad that I can navigate through every single path with no help at this point

I don't know enough about Ren'Py functionality to have the answer, just a guess that the game will throw up errors for that too.

It was worrying in the lead up to 11, being a Sancho user

I have to admit you and Just Jericho have me considering grabbing URM and giving it a run but after watching one of the folks on this thread struggle all day trying to map variable names to desired functionality it causes me hesitation. I'm a professional coder so I'm sure I can get it to work but I already spend all day chasing badly or generically named variables and debugging 2000 line sql stored procedures so I hesitate to take on more work. I guess that's why I like Scrappy mod because it's right in the UI, point and click with no fuss.

If stupid people like me and Milton can figure it out, you should be good ;)

I find it kind of annoying to use most of the time but that's probably because i'm not using it correctly

Yeah i'm not particularly knowledgeable with Renpy either. I'll find it one day, i don't even want to know for any particular reason, just curious lmao

Completely fair. I install URM on every single Renpy game I play lmao. I personally don't change a lot of variables, I think the only ones I do are to unlock scenes I don't care for (like madame rose or Jade/Cathy etc), but my runs are specifically designed for the outcome so i have no desire to.

One benefit of URM, if there's a variation scene you can view it, so for example post-halloween party, if you're on Sage's path, you have the option to view the extra render of Josy being sad if you're not on her path (and heartless), then view the conversation about breaking up with the Throuple.

URM is a stupidly powerful bit of kit, even if you were to keep using Scrappy's mod, i'd install URM. FWIW, BaDik's variable names are actually some of the clearer ones i've seen. I played on VN the other day where the variables were called like a3618b2 and i'm just sat there like what the fuck does that mean

I would find that unmanageable even as the developer. All of our variables are like scope_datatypeDescription. g_strSQLInstancenameConnection (for a global string) or m_blnProcessEventHandlers (for module boolean ) or whatever. Plus we have a variable index as a part of the system doc. I can't imagine I'd do it any different for a personal project.

One thing I constantly forget is for some of these titles the developer IS the coder, the database guy, the renderer, the writer, the animator and the story teller. It's quite difficult to be good at any one of those things let alone all of them. Some of these ren'py devs really blow me away with what they are able to produce. This title is right at the top... subjectively :)

My big issue with Scrappy mod, based on what I've heard about it, rather than personal experience, so it's possible I've been misled somehow, is that it sounds like it changes the game's paths without telling you - letting you do things like get two normally incompatible lewd scenes on the same run, or otherwise achieve things that aren't in the unmodded game, but aren't flagged as changes.

I don't use it either, but I believe it only does that if the user chooses to do that. I know a number of people that use it responsibly and don't have those problems. I think some people try to see everything and blame the mod when it goes to shit.

If the mod offers the option "MOD: XYZ" then yeah that will likely break something down the line. If you avoid that it shouldn't break anything.

The safe option is just save before making the choice and decide which one you like more.
