I think the Cathy leak and Nick situation is the wrong man in the wrong place, a very bad match for Nick. Because Rooster account being hacked remotely is most believable case.
But that doesn't excuse him at all, guy has done as much damage to DIKs as Cathy cluck.
And I hope DPC won't write him as a misunderstood and controversial character, like he did with Burke, trying to evoke in player some simpathy for him. it's not believable and it doesn't work. I won't believe it. Guy is an asshole.

As for a kid, i hope it's Jacob's. More funny. Even more funny is make Dawe to believe that it is his kid.
Seems pretty evident to me that they are going to give you an option to "redeem" Nick if you make sympathetic choices.

I've been of the opinion that you will essentially "gather your allies" to tackle Magnar (Chad, Nick, DIKs, main girls etc). Especially considering I think the main story will end in episode 12 and it would make for a fitting conclusion.

I still like that image of Arieth with her natural brunette hair. It’s amongst the Alpha’s blackmail photos. She looked good before the fake red hair. *shrug

I know I said this before but just had a bit of an epiphany.
I remember a while back we were theorising how the next episode will start and I said we could see a Bella flashback that leads to her opening the door (in the past) and then it will cut back to the present for the reveal.

I'm imagining the contrast of a brightly lit child's bedroom contrasting with what it looks like now. Would be a great use of a minute cutscene I suppose.
I feel like this could happen:

and we could get a "sad" flashback for Nick giving him his sympathetic backstory. Maybe how he met Heather and then all of the times where he sees Tommy cheating on her. If they're trying to build up a Nick redemption (which I believe that they are) then it seems like a distinct possibility.

How about this? Nick met Heather first, and was actually winning her over, but then he somehow knocked her over and she broke her leg? Nick's the reason she ended up in that wheelchair :KEK:

Or maybe it was Vinny's fault, but Nick still lost his shot with Heather and later Tommy swooped in.

I still feel that it's far more likely we open with a Bella flashback but I think we would need to see a bit more from Nick's perspective to sympathise with him.

Biggest hope would be that the flashback includes him disappearing with the laptop at the party to show what really went down.

A Bella opening is likely, but any Nick flashback could easily take place in the middle of the story too, similar to Stephen's.
Maybe we'll play interlude 2 from Nick's point of view and get to decide what kind of role he plays in S4.
Nick sneaks into the mansion when everyone is asleep, and steals the fish money again

This idea also tracks with the devlog:
Status update Episode 12

I've been working on a long scene for the entire week. And it's one of those scenes that I've wanted to create since day one, so I'm having a very good time with it. It's a bit surreal seeing it come to life after all these years. The scene I'm working on has a variety of environments and characters, meaning that it takes quite a while to create each render.

I also posed another minute-long cutscene animation.
Could feasibly be a cutscene of Nick seeing all the bad shit that Tommy has done to Heather and would facilitate a cutscene and needing multiple environments.

I'm probably way off but its what came to mind outside of a Bella locked room flashback.

Here's the thing though, we don't really need to see more of Tommy being a shitty boyfriend while Nick sulks in the background like the bitch he is. Tommy has been shown to be a certified asshole again and again.

If that's going to be something other than the locked room, what about the nerds? I remember someone suggested that we get another crossover opening like Episode 11's, where we see the formation of the DIKs from the nerds' perspective, and see what started this quest for revenge (like the DIKs mansion used to "belong" to the nerds).

I think it could be valuable to actually see the history between Nick, Tommy and Heather. Maybe DPC will try to paint Nick in a more positive light in the flashback to make players more inclined to sympathise with him and offer forgiveness.

I agree with your idea too though, i'd like to see where all the resentment from the nerds actually came from and how they began to formulate their revenge plans.

Forgive Nick? Never
And therein lies my point .

95% of people in this thread hate Nick now and call him a rat etc. I believe that DPC wants to give Nick a potential redemption and to do that the player needs to be given more reasons to sympathize with him.

He's already been laying the groundwork for a "forgive Nick" decision but I think, for many of us, we would need to be given more of a reason to offer our forgiveness after the rat shit that he pulled.

That seemed to be the setup from the start. The only thing he really did "wrong" was fuck Heather but I'd have done the same. Fuck Tommy. Biggest man whore in the world, completely ignores her most of the time and then he cries because someone fucked her. He's not that great with cause and effect or being a good frat brother.

I would definitely explore the "redemption" path. The thing folks seem to hate is that he spilled some stuff told in confidence. But he didn't like, just do it in passing. He was under extreme duress and I'm sure he saw it as a life line at the moment. A way to shift some of the mountain of blame off himself.
