I can't really say I'm on board with the "Bella knew Lynette" theory (even more small world syndrome, adds needless drama, mommy issue adjacent) but I can fuck with the clutter room idea, as well as the reason why the door was unlocked.

Episode 5.
Welcome to the world of AVNs, where a large amount of "small world syndrome" exists in at least 90% of the games.

True, the last word about it was maybe November, and we definitely went in December. Still, the conversation has a currently pointless amount of focus on it. If it were just for Geoff's introduction, we talk to Geoff directly in a different room so it wasn't really needed.

Idk, just a thought.
They tie into Lynette's story.
Not everything needs a short-term conclusion. Sometimes a long-term one is more fitting. It's just one of those small, seemingly useless details that we're meant to remember for future reference. "There's a lot of things that you don't see until you start looking for them."

Everything sounds good, but there is (for me) 1 big issue with this theory: Even if Miranda doesn't know that Lynette's dead, she should've known that Lynette was pregnant. I don't know how it is in the US, but where I'm from it's quite normal to have at least your best friends close to you if you give birth. Lynette died while giving birth, so Miranda should know about it if she was close to her.

What a surprise would it be if Bella has a copy of the same photo of Lynette and friends in that room as the one MC's gotten. I've also got a theory why she hasn't seen that picture in MC's room even if she's been there: Lorewise it doesn't hang on the wall but is still in the box or diary. In not a single cutscene we've ever gotten a shot of the wall above MC's desk where we see it through gameplay.
What if Bella was the one that took that picture of them?

These two business guys tie into Lynette's story? I know some people think the blonde guy might be Grandpa, but idk about that. And I wouldn't call 6 episodes later a "short-term conclusion" if they showed up again. But I understand.

She could still have a copy in her room as a remembrance to their friendship, or if one of the other two for some reason dropped their photo at her place.

It's quite normal to own pictures of your (best) friend(s) even if you're not in them yourself.

I go with a thought from the Wire -> All THe Pieces Matter.

Little things will pop back up later ex Maya grabbing at her wrist, completely overlooked but matters later on.

Avery's comments to Tara at Halloween

and so on

That makes me think even more of the coincidental same favorite song of Bella and Neil... I'm not saying they were in a relationship, but I'm pretty sure there is a reason why they have the same song as their favorite.

Those kind of details are perfect to explain through "small world syndrome".

Are there any cool secret interactions in this game that you know of? For example: Sheriff entering MC's room to take a piss & Jill having an orgasm if you stop on specific frame for a while. These are the only 2 I know.

I've never heard of the sheriff, but I believe Bella also has a secret interaction.

I wouldn't call either of those overlooked though, and some people were able to guess what both of those meant.

When you fight Caleb, input the Konami code as soon as the word GET READY appears on the screen. If you manage to finish before the word FIGHT, there's a secret render where you actually knock Caleb on his ass and defeat him in one hit. But of course, storywise he's still standing and acts like nothing happened.

Yes I'm just blanking on examples right now those were the two that popped in my head, the Maya one I never noticed until she pointed it out, Avery/Tara one was more noticable

There's a hidden interaction you might've heard of by now, if you take shrooms at the BBQ.

Naming yourself Fuckface or Lucky will give you a unique dialogue moment at the start of the game or on Jill's path respectively

It's their favourite song, because it was Lynette's favourite song. I'd say that small world syndrome should be considered a rule at this point. An example: it turns out Rox and Lana died on the same day from the same batch of poisoned cocaine.

Might as well make Sage half-manatee at this point

Same with Lynn (Derek's fling from one of the episodes openings in season 1) being named after Lynette, since Lynette was also called Lynn. I still won't be too surprised if she happens to be MC's twin sister because of the "identical" names.
