Hey guys, I've just started on the game and installed some mods but I encountered a cheat detector, can SO help guide me how to bypass in order to play the game with mods? Tks so much!

I always enjoy when DPC does reflections—especially on beer bottles, those are magnificent!—but I like that he went the extra mile and not only did the reflections on the silver balls, but also the reflection off the gold ball within the silver reflection. It's definitely an automated process called ray tracing.

DPC didn't have to draw anything by hand like M.C. Escher used to — he just defined those spheres as reflective, and DAZ did the calculations.
But not limiting the depth of recursion in the reflections is time-consuming.

For example, if that render without reflections takes 10 minutes, with (almost) unlimited reflection recursion it could take hours.
(Well, maybe not actually hours on modern hardware, but you get the idea.)

I agree with you that's a way too punitive for the player, but DPC calls it good writing and "life lesson".

I'm playing 4 playthroughs in a row, and there are a lot of scenes on rewind. While playing almost full Dik, I missed the moment when I was laughing at Jamie, and I only found out about it when I was talking to him about flowers. Does anyone remember when I might have been laughing at him?
P.S. It definitely wasn't because of Jem-Jem.

Probably during the halloween party when he was dressed up as a girl and Leon didn't dress up as a girl as well as he had agreed with Jamie to do?

If you provide a screenshot of the dialogue when he talks about you laughing at him, I can try to inspect the code to find the relevant variable, and from it the relevant choiche.

Found it. Apparently, it's impossible to prevent this on Dik.

Has anyone tried to spot the story tropes borrowed, or heavily influenced by those from movies/shows/novels, etc.?

That's weird. Here's my screenshot of the relevant scene with v0.11.1
I was hovering the magazine clicking on which you unlock the special render, and as you can see there's not the black arrow overlay that you have in your screenshot and that was the element causing the issue on v0.11

Something must have gone bad while overwriting the original script.

Since you have Scrappy Mod installed... my guess is that you might have installed the Scrappy Mod for v0.11 on a v0.11.1 game... causing the script that you previously updated to v0.11.1 to be downgraded to the previous release.

Either that or Scrappy fucked up the release of his mod for v0.11.1

Try with an UNMODDED v0.11.1 and you should not experience the issue.

Yes, that line jm "Yeah, so don't mock me for it again." is only controlled by if affinity == "DIK":

So either by "again" he means just a few lines before when the MC (if on DIK affinity) says that calling the DIKs' secret code on the greenhouse was a good choice (implying that the greenhouse is something to be mocked for), or somewhere back in previous scenes there's another line of MC mocking him just conditioned by the DIK affinity and the player doesn't have any choiche on that mocking.

I've gave up on that special render, cause I really didn't know how to solve this. And I' don't use any mod, by the way.

Could be a timing thing, as Quinn and Lily are not present in the official WT for the render. But not really sure why it would be locked later

edit: Or as ZenoMod said, the hitbox for arrow got too big for its own good
