This week, I replaced a PC slave with a new 5090 one. Rendering with it works well, and it was easy to set up. I will continue to upgrade my systems and share the news with you as they are done.

I updated my DAZ3D version to the most recent build and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had added geometry sculpting, which is something I use in 99% of my renders. It's basically a tool used to fix skin poking through clothes and other similar issues.

This DAZ3D update almost enabled me to pose static renders with the alpha version as a standard. However, I was missing two essential scripts that make characters look at objects and the camera when posing.

DAZ3D scripts are encrypted, so there's often no way to check out the code that a script developer wrote. I'm not sure how long it will take for DAZ and script developers to update the scripts. At the moment, you can't even sell scripts for the new DAZ alpha version on the DAZ store.

My problem was that I needed those two scripts now. So, I said fuck it and tried to write similar scripts from scratch by myself.

Luckily for me, DAZ3D scripts are written in C++, which I've worked with professionally prior to game development. Using outdated documentation for obsolete functions and trial and error, I managed to emulate the necessary functionality in DAZ3D Alpha. I was able to write the scripts I needed, and they work great.

This image shows the result of running the scripts I wrote.

It might seem like a small thing to do, but manually posing the eyes without the characters looking off-target is very hard without a script. It's also time-consuming to pose the eyes compared to pressing a shortcut after selecting a character.

I have been working with the latest DAZ alpha version since Monday, and I have encountered only a few bugs that have not significantly impacted my workflow.

I have mostly posed static renders this week, working through a canon scene and branched scenes with Sage and Jill.

I also posed a handful of animations. For this, I had to return to the old DAZ build, but it wasn't a big problem to work in this way.

Checking the dialogue I have written, I only have four more scenes to pose static renders for before I need to return to writing. Those four scenes are roughly equal to 350 static renders.

It's a very good feeling to catch up on the writing with the art. I will likely pose three out of those four scenes next week and continue to write more dialogue.

Have a nice weekend

I wonder if these upgrades will speed up development time? Oh what am I saying, of course it won't!

Would that threesome be a HOT oyakodon since Arieth was Josy's mother?

... Was the Quinn/Sage threesome a HOT oyakodon?

... Is Sage Maya's grandmother?

... Is Sage Camila's great-grandmother?

... Is Maya Camila's aunt?

OMG THE HOT FAMILY TREE IS SO COMPLICATED!!
What the fuck

The beauty of this is that if it were to come out after a year and a half, people would be celebrating
Sadly......

The crazy part is the development time for an AVN when you consider it's his full time job, resources earned and multiple PCs rendering. You could call it a render farm. It's taking as much time, if not more than open world AAA game. Just think about that part. Wild!!

its basically a high tier one person job, so I get it.
There are some games that are completed within 3 years but the renders are barely passable compared to this game.

Now DPC can hire 1 or 2 people to speed up development, but he said "nah, im different"

Hell Week is easily winnable without Jade, but if you want to play a run completely faithful to a main girl, you can't get more points than Derek.
No, you can win Hell week if you just get your dick wet once. You can choose between fucking Quinn and win the cumpetition, or getting your dick signed by envy which will lead to at least a blowjob, or you fuck jade AND show the video (without showing it, no point)... you need at least one of those actions to win hell week, of course if you want to win with only one of those actions, you need all points you can get. That means you have to pay Magnar for the wedgie as well, you will not score a point for that, but derek will get the point if you dont do it. You will get a point too for fucking quinn on the roof after smoking weed, but its not really an "option" cause you have to be a dik anyways to do it and have to fuck quinn in the cumpetition too to get the scene, so you are already winning anyways if you get the roof-fuck.

On my chick runs i go usally for Envy if i want to win the hell week. Faithful runs cant win hell week, no matter what.
Thanks for your answers.
Now I'm a little smarter.
No matter how often you play the game, you always learn something new.

The bigger thing here to be blunt is that winning Hell Week is basically pointless at this point unless you're going for completionist and want to unlock some disconnected to the entire plot thus far sex scenes legitimately.

There is nothing to be gained from winning it.

If I don't win Hell Week, I won't get a VIP pass.

I disagree. Especially when it comes to games that have been released since 2022 or so, quite a few of them have been on par with BAD when it comes to render quality while still having at least 7-10 hours of story content in under 3 years of dev time. The only pro's that BAD has over them are the soundtrack and the insane amount of branching paths.

Yes, BAD is a pretty good overall game and also among my favorites, but it has been surpassed by quite a few devs already in both models (luckily there are more and more games where the girls have realistic size smaller breasts, instead of all of them (at least the MGs) having Lolo Ferrari sized breasts like is the case in BAD) and also in quality of storytelling.

BAD and intertwined started almost the exact same time frame (Couple of months from each other) and almost have the same amount of episodes.
BAD has 12 (if we include the interlude) and intertwined has 13. Personally I like those the sage hand going up and down moments but I agree zoey running and other animations are just not necessary.

Not to taking away Nyx's achievements (I like her game a lot aside from her saying she is going to nuke saves on the next update lol) or anything. DPC's games is a deserving cult because the game is good lol

It can get worse tho (ICSTOR :KEK:)

Being a Dik aired in February 2019, while Intertwined aired June 2020, thats not almost the exact time frame Dude :D
Thats 1 year and 4 Month difference :D

I mean sure, there are games that surpass BAD and some that are on par, but the game has been improving render quality for the girls and other characters.

Okay I gotta disagree with your tit take, we need more lolo ferrari sized breasts (Contains the hopes and dreams of mankind).
Story quality is still up there tho
