The reason in that example for him being with the laptop in the library is that he could open the window so that Vinny could get inside without anyone else at the party seeing him.

As for the hacking theory, IDK why he would go to the library on his own with the laptop during a party... maybe he was planning to post an unrelated cluck on the DIKs account and wanted some privacy or something.

I think Vinny and Nick is just a red herring. Nick is just mad that Vinny left and Tommy mistreating Heather. Vinny doesn't seem to care about the DIKs at all, he only shows up to the Halloween party to talk to Quinn.
Why would Nick let Vinny in through a window, in secret, give him the laptop and let him post the Cluck? If Vinny had the picture he could've just sent it to Nick, have him post it, and delete the image afterwards. Why would Vinny even have the picture in the first place? The nerds wouldn't need to involve him if they have access to the computer.

tl:dr
I think Vinny is just related to the drug storyline and Quinn/Lily specifically, not the main plot.
Nick is just fallout for the master keikaku that Magnar is planning.

Nick is so very attached and dependent on Vinny (and whatever bromance they have going on) that I could very well see him doing absolutely anything for the idiot. That unhealthy level of dependency and devotion makes people do stupid things. That said, I don’t really have any thoughts or beliefs in the “Vinny through the window” theory. :cool:
