Season 4 will be the last and he said it will be different than previous seasons. He didn't say in what way however, but general consensus is that it will probably either at most be 1 or 2 normal episodes with the rest being (smaller) epilogue episodes and/or most if not all episodes being onrail without any further choices.
Not really, it would mean there's only one episode left to conclude most of the plotlines and that the new season will only include a single update.
I doubt that season 4 will just be 1 episode, especially since DPC has said in last years update that he expected the main story to take at least until episode 14 and he hasn't updated that in this years Q&A.

I agree with the one or two regular episodes. However, I can very well imagine that there won't be one or two epilogue episodes, but rather one or two prequel episodes.
I've never understood how someone could not love women's legs. You don't have to be a foot fetishist to appreciate their beauty and sexuality.
I've got a feeling that we already will find out a lot history stuff that we don't know yet in the few remaining episode(s), so one onrail completely focused on being a prequel sounds reasonable. Two is a bit much however.

I think that's why there will be two prequels.
I don't think DPC really needs two prequel episodes for that, I think those could easily be put in a single episode.
I can easily imagine something happening to the MC at the end of EP12 that creates a loop for the game, so that EP1 could actually come after EP14 or EP16. That would be perfect replay value. A so-called never-ending story. With that, DPC would build a monument to itself in the AVN world.

On a more serious note: I think it's kind of odd that Derek doesn't mention to MC that he once dated a girl called Lynn when he finds out that MC's mother's name is Lynette for how similar they are. Both names aren't really common, especially for about the same region.
