Still on balanced throuple path. After being denied what's rightfully mine, I was just reminded of some dialogue I think I've seen only once. If you have the Episode 7 lewd, Maya will let you cum inside her during this lewd, but without it she won't. And being confirmed to have no protection (meaning birth control pills, I doubt she meant carrying condoms on her), she is potentially game for a risky creampie

The creampie option and scene alteration serves for both completeonist purposes (to satisfy and to encourage players to find such nuances and details) and attention to details, bc in EP7 scene Maya finally "opens" for MC and have a good time with him. Doing Josy scene is required to make her wear MC's red sweater later in EP8. So it's kinda balanced in one or another way.

Like, MC didn't help them a lot here and there, so they fall apart, etc. But it's still unknown, how DPC planned all this paths/sub-paths for the Throuple and Others (with feelings for Josy/Maya) branches. After EP8 it's more noticable that options for "help" them are only available in Others branch, since being in Throuple branch, MC always helps them. For now (EP9-11), the only options left for Throuple is a balance of solo scenes and ILY.
I think there will be same outcome available (solo path) via different ways. Like it was with Sage - become her boyfriend via fuck buddy or wait until she's officially "free" in EP7. Obtaining J/M solo path through "others" branch looks more polite and less brutal. While getting one of them via Throuple branch is more cruel and dramatic. That's why I'm still sure there will be an option to save the Throuple, otherwise all this balancing, RPs and other stuff are going to trash after so much years of development, which would be quite a nonsense.

So, you're just making assumptions and all w/o playing actual paths/options? I mean, you know about that choice in EP5, but you almost insisted that nothing changes and happens to Maya after that? Of course, choice in EP5 have sense only if you go for Others branch in EP8. You won't have this option and choice in EP5 if you joined the Throuple at the end of EP4, either...

p.s. I forgot about scene in EP10 at BBQ party, both got something too. Josy - a couple of renders and option to kiss her forhead (or not), Maya - a couple of dialogue lines (but those lines are quite important too).

I'm saying it based on the at least 30/40 playthroughs I've done, both with and without throuple. In none of those does she go beyond just wanting to be friends if you're not on the throuple path, not even if you do all positive things for her. I also don't see why telling Derek would change that if I'm not saying anything else romantic about her (since we don't get an option for anything later or before that).

I'd say realistic is August/September 2026, optimistic would be June/July and pessimistic would be October and beyond.

This takes into consideration past trends of every EP taking a bit longer than the last one. For example EP 10 took around 12 months and 11 took 15.

Assuming EP 12 takes 18 gives us the realistic September 26 guess.

Could be, but I think it all depends on how fast he can make the new gameplay option work (or whatever it's going to be). When he told us about it, I got the feeling that it might be at least a bit challenging.
