That's part of it. Another reason is how he talks about Zoey while he's in your room:

Myself, I only did it once for dialogue completion, but after that I always say he should let her go. He's a goof, but he seeing how he (at least currently and probably always) makes no chance with her, he should be spared that disappointment imo.
