Magnar is simply a resentful teenager who's been bullied his entire life. Ron is the same way, but Magnar is the leader of the operation.
While Magnar isn't as dumb as the jocks, his goal is simply revenge and to cause even more discord among the fraternities. Magnar also spends a lot of time studying, not pursuing his own plans. He has a motive, but no experience playing chess with Quinn. Quinn has been surviving her entire life. Tremolo will simply run over Magnar in this battle once he's gathered more information. And he's actively digging into everyone to clear himself of the email story.
What's Magnar's plan? All he's come up with is hacking all the electronics and leaking secrets. Bert and Eugene are filming the incriminating evidence with a drone.
Sally doesn't follow Tremolo because she doesn't ask him any questions. She doesn't try to spend as much time with Tremolo at parties as possible. She doesn't try to seduce him. Her interest is hidden. I don't believe she's a spy. More likely, she'll be a double agent, leaking all of Magnar's plans to get revenge and clear her own reputation.

As for who's the better chess player, it's Magnar right now. Planning provocations, hacking, psyop frat-versus-frat (false flag operations). Just like the KGB/CIA level of a teenager with a heightened IQ. But of course he overestimates himself and will make a mistake, maybe your option is also correct and Sally will turn out to be his weak spot.

About Quinn, she talks a lot about chess, but I don't see any foresight in her strategy; it's more about "results here and now." Playing adult games isn't chess. Breaking the deal with the DIKs—welcome to a chain of consequences, mansion destruction, another escalation jocks/DIKs situation, a fight with Tommy that led to him buying from Vinny. And for what? She gained almost nothing from that preps party, barely finding one client, who chicken out later.

Then she decided to resell drugs at inflated prices, pocketing the difference, and stole Vinniy's clients, which forced him to investigate. And this led to Riona being tortured, Vinny threatening our MC with a "fake" gun.
But at least it made Quinn rethink herself and what she was doing with her life. Reality hits hard, that's a good lesson. And even her latest plan, turning Buddy and company over to the cops: it's beautiful and pompous. But there could be consequences. Someone will escape the raid, and guess who. He's figure out who did it, ofc. Her plans could use a line from a famous character in a suit and briefcase: "Prepare for unforeseen consequences."
This isn't meant to be hateful toward Quinn; I like her as a character.

It's a 3D game. All the objects the author places in the scenes serve a purpose:

Ren'py is literally a 2d game engine. I believe it can support some 3d models, but I haven't seen that in BaD.

2. To hint at the future plot, so the player can play detective. For example, he hung Italian paintings in the Snobs' mansion so the player could figure out who is Jill's father and who is Sage's father at the party. Playing Episode 4, you can figure everything out yourself based on these scattered objects. You apparently aren't paying close attention.

There was no "mannequin" in Bella's house. Didn't you get that? Just like James isn't a soldier.

There are boots in the locked room. This was talked about years ago. Even on here. This implies a) boots, b) a mannequin.

My "fanfiction" is based on facts within the game, not on your fantasies about Bella needing a place to store her things and letting that room be a closet. The game's main twist, which we've been working toward for over five years, is the closet room. Bravo!

As stated before, there's more evidence of Bella being a vintner or brewer, considering her love of wine and drinking. You saying "she smoked pot once in university" is about all you have.

1. It's a room. A locked room. Where we know boots are at least stored.
2. It's a room. Stuff goes into rooms. Not plants. Because: a) plants need water and light, b) there's no indication she has a grow op in a tiny little room, which is potentially legal in whatever state we're in. Now it could be some expensive plants, like orchids, that require certain environments and careful watering. That would make sense, as she does have an affinity for plants in her house. But there's no indication it would ever be pot, be a side hustle she's doing, or if she's growing it for herself (something we'd be privy to on her path.)

Mona has already played out her storyline. Remember that chess thing. Quinn gave up Mona as a pawn when she became inconvenient for her. She also traded Maya for her pawn.

Mona was barely a SG, tertiary at best. I don't recall her story line. She simply left. Will DPC bring this thread back? Who knows.

Mona is needed to show how Quinn works with her girls.

We don't need a person to leave the story to show how Quinn works with her girls. That's just silly. Ever heard of Riona? Or Mel, and Sara? Or Sage? Or the other girls not in the HOTs who are part of the restaurant deal? It's very clear how she works with girls on her scheme. You don't need a sacrificial lamb to show that.

Every character in the game plays a role in Quinn's game.

While we can say Quinn is a bad girl, an antagonist, etc. Quinn is not some mastermind. She's an opportunist. There is no game. She doesn't have a usage for...everyone...where are you getting this? There's a hustle to sell drugs, and the prostitution ring. That's it. She may be lying to the ladies about the tuition, or that could've been a real thing. We don't know yet.

Really? I think if anything Sally's one of the more honest characters in the game. She wanted to be in with a Greek society so went with the nerds who she thought would be a natural fit except couldn't keep up with expectations (and is probably the one who was cheating on the mid-terms). Now however she's leaning more towards partying and enjoying herself without trying to be perfect academically, and I do wonder if a large part of Magnar's grudge is down to the fact Sally is enjoying herself with them now.

Unfortunately, I don't know how exams work in America. Magnar isn't a freshman.
Now it seems strange to me that when Tremolo first met Magnar, they didn't accept him right away without knowing his true academic abilities. Maybe Tremolo's words about planning to study science scared Magnar? Are all the Tri-Betas really cheaters? They just play DnD in the library instead of studying. Magnar is really worried about studying, but should it be difficult for him if even Anthony passed the exam?
Is it suspicious that Sally showed up in his first chemistry class?

Also at the party, Camila, Mona, and Riona were trying to make money off rich men.
