Honestly you could've just left that last part off and the answer would still be the same. Healthy relationships in this game are rare as fuck.

Pretty much the only one I can think of is John Boy and Elena. Sure, his whole cuck thing exists so players can bang Elena, but their relationship is still healthy and she doesn't seem to be having any second thoughts about her man after getting a taste so I don't think we're going to end up playing homewrecker.

So none.

Wasn't going for a gotcha or anything, but I once claimed the game was a power fantasy with the male cast not having (positive) agency in their love life and only existing to enable the MC to outshine them, and I got insulted for that claim, so I just ask the experts since I'm not overly familiar with this game beyond one playthrough.

Please list every in-game pairing between a boy and a girl not involving the MC whose relationship is in a healthy state and not in declinement to set the girl up for the MC.

Elena and JB -> They are basically a duo and because JB likes sitting in a hotel chair, Elena gives him a show with the MC

And that is all the pairings in a healthy state.

The other pairings but are not healthy is

Tommy x Heather = Basically in a break
Jaime x Feminist girl (Forgot her name) = they are in another break up, they will get together again despite killing the bunny
Derek x Ashley = Ashley fucking anthony
Tara x Oscar = Relationship status unknown, Halloween party seemed like they were kinda together and now they are not in the panty party
Carla x Random Bf = Carla is going to cheat on him with the MC eventually.
Jacob x Ciara = Been fucking since the HOT party (Dependent) and Jacob looks like they dont want to settle down.
Rusty x Micah = Micah cheating on her bf with Rusty.
Cafeteria Girl x Prep = Prep got dumped at halloween for megachin

I meaaaaan... Yes, in the same sense that other characters in most games exist so you can outshine them. Many of the male characters in the game are shown in a positive light at least some of the time, depending on whether you the player is supposed to like them or not. But it's a college drama romance game, so relationships being unstable is to be expected.

I do wish some of the other guys had healthy relationships in place - both because they deserve it and so that the more annoying fans would stop acting like every male NPC is a walking NTR tag - but I understand why the love lives of side characters aren't considered a priority compared to creating attractive and interesting girls to hook up with in a game about hooking up with girls.

For the game in question, you can outshine and cuck the male cast as well, buuut you could also help them and get them girlfriends, or help them with their current girlfriends. It's not like BaDIK doesn't miss out fleshing out the male cast by giving them depth, issues and vulnerability (e.g. Derrick, who is more than just the clown), but the insistence to not have any other non MC guy be able to develop a healthy relationship and always introducing a pair to set them up to break up and for the girl to fall in MCs hands is lacking that potential richer experience the game could've provided. I don't mind so much being able to get every girl, than not having to work for it.

Out of curiosity which of the relationships involving MC do you consider "healthy"? As far as I see there is always some serious shit going on. If that is just drama then I'd say quite a few background couples are simply dealing with drama.

Seeing all the fun times this game provided reminds me that dealing with eternal and boring dev cycles and dealing with DPC BS from time to time is worth in the end

Seriously, no game has really reached the same highs to me, which is a shame really, I tried them all.

There just something that really clicks with me with BAK.

No other game would make me clear my weekend and run as fast as possible from work to just get to play the new update.

Thanks for the reminders my friends, this dev cycle might be more boring that watching paint dry but I have no doubt EP 12 will be worth the wait.

Its starting to shape up and that combine with the few bits of info from the reports start to reveal that we can expect quite a bit from the season finale.

A shame we still have 11 months (ish) but thats the price for quality...

It's the same for me, and this game has truly become a great escape during difficult times in my life. No other game has generated so much creativity, art, and discussion among other AVNs. No thread has been so heated with waifu wars and arguments. It's one of the few games that gaming YouTubers have even talked about. Say what you want about DPC, but the guy has succeeded.
