Despite all this, she is a wonderful girl and this is compensated. It is always like this, the most great chicks are not the easy ones.

Phew, that one kinda got away from me and turned from character flaw analysis to full on psych breakdown, but it was fun! I'd be interested to hear what others think of that, whether it makes any sense or if I'm just yapping into the void here.

Honestly I hadn't either, it took me a minute to consider her actions and find something truly worthy of being called a character flaw. Once I had it in mind though things started clicking together. Hopefully all those little details are intentional and will add up to a satisfying arc rather than being the random ravings of a madman!

Which is quite strange, since Sage is also a multi-layered character and doesn't show her true self among people she's not close to, I would attribute this to DPC's writing flaw.

I'm more likely to believe that Bella is watching us than Cinderella. Let's say someone rich, like Stefan Burke or MC's grandfather, put Cindy on watch for us. They even enrolled us in the same chemistry class. We don't know much about her, but at the third party, if we don't kiss all the girls under the mistletoe, she loses interest in us. The Spy/Actress wouldn't care and would continue playing her role.

I won't write about Quinn and Lilly; their flaws are obvious. Abusive relationships are fun.

Yeah, when it was revealed in Ep8 that Jill's home was actually MC's mother's house, I felt certain that MC's true identity would be clarified before the ending. We know the theme of this game is 'love and family', so I wouldn’t find it strange at all if an grandparent, uncle, aunt, or siblings of MC popped up at certain moments.
I think, although she show some interests on MC, it doesn't have to be the sexual way. Perhaps she was simply watching him as a family member would.

Guys, what's your first route and which one will you play first in episode 12?

On my first playthrough, I ended up on Sage’s route (actually, it’s really easy to end up on this route by accident). At first, I didn’t have any preferences and didn’t take the game seriously. But that’s the charm of VNs - the first time you make choices without knowing the mechanics, you do it genuinely, like in real life (well, almost).

So just play and pick what feels right. You’ll start liking certain characters later, once you get into the story and understand them.

I think her main flaw is not being able to defend her personal boundaries, possibly due to low self-esteem. And that’s also the root of all her other problems, I think.

I had a whole Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my status and affinity and plan out major choices to get as many scenes as possible. Jill is totally possible since even making out with her counts and as Spocky said you need to choose between Ashley on Sage's branch and Rose on Derek's, although Sage's branch offers more scenes in total. Also, I'd avoid Heather's blowjob for now in favor of Elena's scene, hoping there will be a better chance with her in the future. You never know though, there might still be bad surprises in upcoming episodes that could force to replay from an earlier save. For Madame you only have to accept her offer but not actually buy any scenes. She'll appear in your history nevertheless. Though you probably wouldn't want to miss this scene:

Unfortunately, since she’s not one of the "Main girls", I doubt DPC will do anything to develop Riona in the future. To me, she seems just a minor, additional part of the story. Well, we’ll see.

And how does she reward Jill for her love and support?

This kind of depends on how one defines a flaw. I'd say those were Bella's mistakes rather than flaws. And I wouldn't say she is all that selfish. In a certain sense everyone is constantly selfish. All our actions and choices have motives behind them and there is no such thing as a selfless motive. You either want to make something happen or to prevent something from happening, but the desire is your own. The trick is that just because we are selfish, what we want isn't necessarily harmful to others. People can want the same thing for their own reasons. People's desires are not necessarily in conflict.

What we usually mean by the word selfish is someone who is uncaring about how others are affected by their actions and I don't think this applies to Bella. She never wanted Jill to get hurt and would have prevented it if she could have. Lying about dating regulations is a bit more obviously a mistake, but I'd call that cowardice rather than selfishness. Bella was afraid and made a mistake.

Most of the obstacles on Bella's path are based on fear, but there is a difference between being a coward and being afraid. It is reasonable to fear the things Bella is afraid of and most of the time she manages to keep her head. She had a moment of cowardice and lied, but those moments are not a constant.

Another obstacle with Bella is her lingering attachment to James, but calling this a flaw would be selfishness. Bella is capable of devotion and calling that a bad thing just because it's directed at someone else would be a judgement based solely on its effect on one's self. So just because there is a problem doesn't mean there is a flaw. Or even a mistake. Unless it turns out that marrying James in the first place was a mistake on Bella's part. Which might actually be the case.

But moving on. What would I call Bella's flaws? Well the first that comes to mind is her temper. It's not as bad as Sage's, but it does get the better of her at times. Second she tends to be judgemental. That is to say she judges people rather harshly. Her assessments tend to be accurate, but the criticism is excessive. She should be more tolerant of people's flaws. Including her own. Which brings us to her third flaw. She is overly self-condemning. No-one gets it from Bella worse than Bella. She is her own worst enemy.
