Thus far, dev cycle is n + three months since Ep 10 took 12 months and Ep 9 took nine. By calculations done by clever people, ETA is 15 months which puts us in September 2026.

When is Episode 12 coming out?

First, we have to project the # of screens.

To do that, we project new timelines for episode 12, by analyzing trends:

*Assume working days are normal at 5 a week, so a normal 5 day work week schedule.

Renders/day shows a declining trend, due to all sorts of $$$$$ Milking reasons.

So let's assume EP 12 follows this trend:
4158 to 5037 = +21.14%
5037 to 5868 = +16.49%
5868 to 7113 = +21.22%

The average (sum/3):
19.6167%

So the potential number of new screens from 7133 (+19.62%) is 8508.335871, or ~8500.

(We're not taking into account other things like animations and coding, QA, testing, etc.; regardless, the total days are the same.)

Now we go back to the actual time episodes took

Method 1: Trend of average renders per day
(minus work days, we'll just use straight numbers regardless of workdays minus weekends, as the trend is the same)

Renders/Day rate is:
EP 9: 17.55
EP 10: 16.44
EP 11: 15.60

For whatever Milked reason, DPC is slowing down.

Estimated days using EP 11 rate:
Renders / (renders/day rate) = 8500 / 15.6 = 545 days.

Estimated days using EP10/11 delta = (16.44 - 15.60 = 0.84, thus, 15.60 - 0.84 = 14.76)
Renders / (renders/day rate) = 8500 / 14.76 = 576 days.

Thus if using EP11's trend, the release date is:
September 3rd, 2026

Thus if using EP11/10's delta trend, the release date is:
October 4th, 2026

Method 2: Linear trend (day count)

Looking at the increase in days:
EP 9 to 10 was 70 days (357-287 = 70)
EP 10 to 11 was 99 days (456-357 = 99)

99-77 = 22, or a 22 day increase. Thus, 22 + 99 = 121 days

So, EP 11 at 456 days + 121 days = 577 days

Thus if using linear trend of days, the release date is:
October 5th, 2026

Conclusion:

In software dev, we usually account for 10-20% overage (which is when things go boom and more time is needed):
576 times 0.10 = 57.6 days
576 + 57.6 = 633.6 days (634)
Thus:
December 1, 2026

576 times 0.20 = 115.2 days
576 + 115.2 = 691.2 days (691)
Thus:
January 26, 2027

So the range of probable release dates, assuming 8500 new screens (and all other work being equal and accounted for), we have a trend between:
September 3rd 2026
&
January 26th 2027

So if I can assume Season 4 will be the final one with around four episodes, and seeing the 15-month gap between Episode 10 (Dec 2023) and Episode 11 (Mar 2025), it’s fair to guess the next ones might follow a similar pace — maybe Ep 12 in late 2026, Ep 13 in late 2027, Ep 14 around mid-2028, Ep 15 sometime in 2029, and Ep 16 (final) landing around 2030. Sounds reasonable, right?

If you assume 15 months per episode, sure.

On the other hand, if you look at recent episodes, each of them has taken longer to come out than the previous one, so if you assume a constant additive growth rate, you get episode 16 releasing in (early) 2035.

If you go for a multiplicative/exponential growth rate, then that'd push the predicted release later.

On the other hand, Season 4 is going to work differently, so the production times are unlikely to align with predictions anyway...

Any ideas what hes talking about? He apparently feels guilty over something and the MC has no clue what it is about.

The only thing i could think of is that the MC not having any contact with his grandparents is Neils doing? Like maybe he felt so hurt about the way how they treated him (and lynette) that he figured they dont deserve to ever meet Lynettes child?

While nowadays and with distance to everything and the own feelings more calm he may realized that this decision was selfish and robs the MC of the chance to be in contact with lynettes parents (and potentially wealthy).

Like in a moment of weakness and extreme pain he put his pride/hurt feelings over the wellbeing of his son.

I never bought really into the idea that the grandparents just dont want any contact with the mc even less if lynette was an only-child which it seemed like. MC is the last thing left on earth by their daughter, even if they felt like that at first, i simply cant imagine that they never tried to establish contact to their own blood, it dont buy it.

The easy answer is that he's simply a man who isn't perfect, who's made mistakes and had days where he didn't know what to do or couldn't be there for his son or couldn't provide the life he wanted. Perhaps he's feeling that empty nest; now that his son is out of the house, he's lonely and reflecting on the last 20 years and what he could've done better. I think every parent feels that way. It's generic and a bit sappy, but it'd be true to life. This is the answer if it's not meant to be a hanging plot thread.

There aren't enough other details about MC's upbringing to guess at much otherwise. Neil wasn't a perfect father, he clearly didn't know how to handle everything and they didn't have much, but it doesn't seem like he made any royal fuckups as a parent, at least that we know of. The biggest hole in Tremolo's life was the loss of his mother, so it does seem reasonable that perhaps Neil is regretting not connecting his son more to that side of his life.

Well yeah thats what i always interpreted it as but it seemed like neil intended to speak about something specific and not just a "i felt overwhelmed sometimes". And its strange that the MC really seems entirely clueless why Neil ever would consider himself a bad dad if there were some more serious things we dont know about.

I just imagined that one of the grandparents was that much of a sociopath. Think Tybalt but with more brains and experience. The character's first appearance is going to be tough to get right. And it quite possibly will happen in the next episode. At the very least we should get a lot more information.

One question I want answered is why haven't Lynette's friends been a part of MC's life. I imagine that was the sociopath grandparent's doing. Perhaps they told Neil everyone felt he and his son had taken Lynette from them and Neil believed it. It would fit this scene if Neil regretted not trying to contact Lynette's friends directly. In reality the grandparents kept Lynette's death a secret so they don't even know about MC. To them Lynette was a friend who ran away with a man and they never heard from her again.
