The argument against that, though, is that unless the MC is on Bella's path he doesn't really know anything about James.
He knows that Bella is married, but that's it.
So on the other routes it's not a huge event like it is on her route.

So there could be different cliffhangers on the different routes.
Keep in mind that an episode-ending cliffhanger can't be something that only happens with specific actions.
Sage finding out about the MC's affair with Jade, for example, can't qualify because plenty of players will not have done that.

Bella route would be James coming back.

Maya/Josy route would be one of them, whichever did not get the I Love You or spoon sleep after the Bella panty party, breaking up with the throuple.
For example, if you told Maya I Love You or spooned her then Josy would leave the relationship since she is now feeling like the lesser part of the three-way relationship.
They would make up and get back together in a future Episode, but the M/J route has built up this particular bit of drama.

Not sure what cliffhanger could happen in the Sage or Jill routes, those are pretty solid right now, but DPC can manufacture something.

I seriously hope DPC doesn't force a throuple choice where you're forced to pick between them. That would massively suck.

As for the return of James, I can see a likelihood, but there's still so much questioning mystery surrounding him that its also kinda hard to see.

I don't think it will be a choice.
Just like in Ep 11 the player gets a solo date with either Maya or Josy depending on which they have done more solo things with, I suspect the game will use that action to drive a wedge between the two that had the date and the 3rd that is left out.

I am confident the player will still be able to salvage the throuple but it will take some time to rebuild the relationship between all 3.
And in that process the player will instead be able to just pick a solo with Maya or Josy route if they want. (Though it would take a real heartless b*stard to kick either Maya or Josy out of the relationship and just keep the other.)

I suspect the wedge will happen in Ep 12 and the rebuilding and choice between throuple or solo maya or solo josy will be in Season 4.

i mean DPC has already done that and really for the most part took it out the players hands this ep, unless you didn't say i love you or wasn't return looks like the choice been made

All Signs point to having to choose one of them. Even Mel talks about her throuple and how her friend is still with the guy and she left it. The MC Dad even points out that it is a bad idea. Even Derek is confused by it. It just isn't a relationship that is meant to work out for all three.

Maybe i'm just heartless .. because Josy has my heart but i think it going to be very easy to kick Maya out

at this point for ch11 there were 2 nsfw in first 10, and 2 in next 10(+2 fake ones)
For ch10 - 3 in first 10, 1 afterwards.
But DPc promised a bunch of steam/gog previews before the end of the year, didnt he?

I don't think this is actually the case. It's more like the route to keeping the throuple balanced is meant to be hard to pull off and the game is both establishing a basis for bad ends and warning the players that they need to pay attention. There are pitfalls just like doing Cathy shuts down Bella's path and doing Jade blocks Sage's romance variant, but if you avoid the traps you'll get a good end.

I honestly don't think this is the case. Considering the last game you had to choose which one to leave in a burning building. All the various clues point to having to do this at some point it might not be as dire as the last game, but there really isn't a happy ending for throuples realistically and various character express this at multiple points. I see no proof of the contrary anywhere in the game.

Yeah, if we have to pick one then poor Maya is going to be sleeping alone.
Josy is just way too cute to kick out.

And let's be cold blooded pragmatists for a moment - Maya appears to have the same disease her Mom does.
Maya is scared of this and points out that her hands are craggy and look rough, like her Mom's.
So do you want to pick Maya and then end up being her caretaker when she's 40 like her Dad is for her Mom?

Life's a cruel bitch sometimes.

(But I am still confident there will be a happy throuple route and that is what I would do rather than any solo with either of them.)
