And we see how nothing has changed since the MC. Just as the solution to Patrick's problem didn't change the situation. Especially for Josy, where her chemistry with Maya ended. They can communicate as well as they want, but it won't work if one of the partners cools off with feelings.

If by that you mean not being on their path didn't improve things between them, that's because they were still going through the same issue with the Patrick wedge as they do when on the path and it's not until that cloud has passed that they see clear to how they've drifted apart. The resolution of the Patrick situation therefore did change the situation because it made them awaken to the issue they have even if they only reckoned with it in their minds, but then it gets vocalised soon after in Ep 11 and they both want to make it better by opening up more, communicating more, and making more time for each other which is what they will do. If either truly felt like it had ended they wouldn't have done that, but they did, because they still feel that they want this. Whether they are successful remains to be seen but there's no reason it can't be possible.And we see how nothing has changed since the MC. Ironically, I think it was Patrick's problem that allowed them to unite against it. And they looked much closer together when this problem existed. Now I see the void.

It's not entitlement it's logic because as I've said before, each of the other MGs will get an ending with them on their paths because that's what they are for, and the Josy & Maya branch is a branch for both because the MC got into this relationship to be with both just like he got into those other MG relationship to be with them. If solo endings come from that it will just be a variation but not the default.
Adding to that logic is the other thing I've said before which is that in AL, there was no Megan & Melissa path, it was a fakeout that literally died before it even began. The only main paths were Megan, Melissa, or Rena and they each got their endings. So DPC following that logic means there's endings for Sage, Jill, Bella, and Josy & Maya together because those are the main branches.

It's a good game. Kinda has a similar dynamic going on with the throuple. The girls have way different personalities than maya & Josy. Don't know how Athena relates to Josy though? You should check it out its a good ride. Good thing is that it is complete so you get to read the whole thing. I hope they get what they want from M&J ending but I am with you on it being unlikely.

Patrick certainly was a unifying force in terms of finding a way out of the predicament, and yes, there is a little bit of uncertainty in terms of "what now?", but that's what they're going to figure out. They're no longer who they were before it, coasting along and just content to be with each other because they were with each other. Now they have a real opportunity to develop this into a more mature relationship having gone through all that and gained that experience and there's no reason why they can't.
