I still think that based on this preview and the Episode 9 flash forward, Bella and MC are at her house, dealing with the aftermath, whatever it may be. Like I would be perfectly fine with a shot just like this one, of Bella and MC sitting together looking solemn.

It's actually pretty hard to draw conclusions about their emotions from this. They seem more angry than anything else, but at the same time they feel guilty for being angry. Like it's a very selfish reaction in the situation.

At this point just about everyone here knows about my theory of Bella and Lynette having been friends, but this situation actually works without it too. It just makes more sense if Bella's secrets are somehow connected to MC personally regardless of path.

As I envision it we return to the moment of shock after the recap and flashback. For the moment everyone is kind of frozen and either Bella or MC takes over the situation. They tell the girls to get into Jill's car and drive Derek to the hospital. Jill drives, Sage is in the front seat with the iced fingertip and Josy and Maya look after Derek in the backseat. They've got Derek to the hospital and now he is in the care of the doctors and Maya is either getting the news on how it went or anxiously waiting for it.

MC and Bella are still at her house, one of them has been overcome by the shock of the situation and the other is trying to deal with it after sending the girls and Derek to the hospital. What I can't decide is which way around is more satisfying. Bella being the one who goes to pieces or MC.

Bit weird, normally i dont pay attention to previews that much, because they dont spoil anything anyways...

iam not even sure they are in this scene because of Derek. Not wanna sound cold... but his injury is not such a big deal that everybody has to be sitting there waiting for a doctor to come by "it was close.... very close... but maybe we safed the thumbnail, we have to watch him closely over night or he might die" ... i mean, the Black Knight would say "Tis' but a scratch" or "just a Fleshwound"

So maybe only Maya is with Derek, and the others are in this preview scene because of Bella? And Jills mood is worse than Josys and Sages isnt it? And Jill is not exactly a good friend of Derek i would say. But Josy and Sage are her best friends besides Bella, MC and Bianca... so to me it seems, they are more there for her? And Bella is maybe in the care of a psychologist or somebody like that right now?

Dunno, i remember a dinner with friends maybe 15 years ago, and a acquaintance of mine did cut himself very deep in the hand. We drove him very fast to a nearby clinic, and were sitting there around and waiting for him to get patched up. But the overall mood was totally fine, we laughed a bit about everything too because it was so stupid how it happened (no he didnt try to open a bottle like Derek did, he was just helping cutting some vegetables)... everybody knew he would be fine but will have a nasty scar afterwards. But it was not something to look the way Jill does here, especially if you are not that good friends? Of course we cared for him, but yeah.... it was justa deep cut, 1 hour and 12 stitches later plus some painkillers and we set at home again and ordered pizza instead of coooking ourselfs. Its more or less the same for Derek i guess... of course he will make a big fuss like "iam gonna die, please Maya and Assman stay by my side, i already see the light" ... "yes the light on the ceiling"

Yeah my gut tells me, they are not waiting for Derek there.

They're probably there for Derek, but now that he's safe, the locked room bullshit is on their minds.

The MC is wearing the same shirt in the trailer as in the preview with Maya. However, the locations are different. One of them is definitely a gym, judging by the markings on the floor. A gym has locker rooms and showers, but not facilities like the one in the Maya preview.

I'm wondering if there are two different New Year's Eve parties. One with the Alphas and many HOTs (Others Branch), and another with the LIs (LI Branches) at a different location.

If the MC wins the fighting tournament, he'll be highly regarded by the Alphas and will probably be allowed to celebrate New Year's Eve with them at the gym. But if the MC doesn't participate in the fighting tournament and plays guitar at the college Christmas party, he might meet some important people. Philip already hinted at this, suggesting the party would be a good opportunity to meet people. What if Geoff invites the MC and some of his friends to a New Year's Eve party?

Who the hell needs 4K renders while with 2K quality Season 3 could have been completed in 2024 or late 2023!
Of course the only one is the dev. You spend same amount of time positioning the scene for 480p and 4K because it only matters to the rendering machine later. So dev had at least twice as much spare time than before.

No it doesnt take much more time, especially not for those render machines DPC has. There are other factors that increases development time... content of course (the episode will get bigger than every other episode before) and animations, which doesnt take longer because of the resolution, they take longe rebcause they are getting longer and more complex... and 60 fps. Though the overall animation rendering time didnt increase either, cause DPC upgraded the hardware a while ago... between episode 1 and 8 he needed about 1 day per animation, and its still the same now too... he just does MORE of everything, which of course increaes the time he needs. You cant build two houses in the same amount of time like you would build one. Simple as that.

DPC made a big mistake talking about 4k... cause many people think now it does matter in any way that they have to wait for the release because of 4k, which is just not the case...

You don't accept the obvious truth that this is one big party at NYE that just about every character will be at because it's prime drama for the big season finale. Your fixation on 2 parties or this not even being the NYE party (which it clearly is since it says so in Sage's new preview and she's wearing a different outfit to her preview with Jill because that's the recital) is all completely wrong and not even based in reality or logic at all.


First of all, no it isn't. It's not at all unrealistic that the DIKs get put in charge of organising a NYE bash for the college because as you like to point out, they do host the best parties so they're therefore good party organisers. It's also not unrealistic to think that this is done and suggested as a means to mend fences between the frats, that the DIKs and Jocks will be made to set aside their differences for one night so there's no fighting over the HOTs. Honestly, this is exactly what's called for in this situation and far more likely than anything you've suggested.

Secondly, it's a freaking AVN and most of all a fictional story. If DPC thinks the story is best served by having a party where DIK, Jocks, and HOTs agree to have a joint party that is open to the whole college, then that's what he'll do, even if you think that's "unrealistic", which it isn't.

Therefore, your supposedly obvious truth might not be so obvious after all. I'm not against having a large New Year's Eve party with 87 people, but only against DIKs and Alphas celebrating together.

A reconciliation party can only happen if the ALPHAs apologize to the DIKs for the destruction of the Mansion and cover the financial damages. You're the one who doesn't understand what you're seeing. In the trailer, we see a large space, probably the main room of a party, but only a goddamn six people. If there were 20-30 people there, I'd go with you so there'd only be one party. But we only see 6 people. Where are the other 81 people? Oh yeah, they've spread out among the other 30 rooms.

That's the thing a quick Google would show a decent rig can render scenes in 2K anywhere between 5 minutes and a couple of hours and a 4k anywhere between 30mins and a couple of hours. We know Dpc has a couple of rigs that are beyond decent.

Taking the lower end of the estimate of a 25 minute difference, over 7000 images there would be a 175,000 minute difference or 2916 hours or 121 days and we know DPC has multiple computers, I seem to recall 5 being mentioned somewhere, but can't find it. But let's say 3 for arguments sake... We can decide that 121 by 3 for all those computers and we get about 40 days difference...

Obviously I'm only working with rough numbers here and it's not an exact science, but the point is the deference between the rendering is months not the years some people are claiming
