I've mainly been working on a scene with many characters, and I'm almost done. It has involved posing both animations and static renders; the scene is heavily branched, which makes it long. And I don't mean it has 5-6 variations; it's more like 15-20 (I'm scared to count).

I was doing a BAD walkthrough for the umpteenth time and noticed a detail that I missed the other times.

When we go to the party in episode 8 and help Riona find out who her stalker was, when we finally catch up with him in the bathroom, the first scene shows him on the phone with someone.
I immediately thought: he must be talking to Vinny. I mean, in my head it wouldn't be entirely impossible for him to have incited or promised something to this guy, exploiting her obsession with Riona, allowing Vinny to know her movements without necessarily exposing himself (Riona knows who he is, after all).

What do you think? Possible, but unlikely? Unlikely and impossible?

It's possible he was trying to look casual so MC might dismiss him as someone else, but if he did then he should have taken off the cap. I think if he was really on the phone with someone, he should have hid in a stall or waited until he was back outside.

As far as working for Vinny, I think he was just a red herring plain and simple. We're supposed to think he was the reason Rio felt like she was being followed, and make the van seem like a coincidence.
