I think the vast majority of players just skip the Interlude on subsequent playthroughs, and won't have that option.

The scene where Zoey Locked herself in the bathroom only happens if you pick "took her phone". If on the contrary you pick "calm her down" they make peace and they remain friends. So the real important choice regarding Zoey and Emma is that one. If you go with taking her phone their friendship end no matter what you do next.

It's just a shortcut to set her affinity, this being the most extreme and obvious choice of the Interlude. As for whether or not Zoey being a DIK or CHICK will matter in any significant way, that remains to be seen.

Which is exactly why there will be content that you can only see by playing the Interlude in those specific ways. Just like some content requires mini-games.

Nah, Chen is probably just a "beard" character in terms of being an outright misogynist to downplay by association all the ways the DIKs are sexist as is increasingly obvious in the narrative (the Walk of Shame being the main one).

It's a bit of a shame but DPC seems to have chickened out a bit as many writers do where they realise their protagonist/heroes aren't exactly perfect themselves and rather than critique them (and risk upsetting players who've "made choices") they'll introduce a far worse token character so by contrast their antics look completely fine.
