Does everyone remember what happened to Brian from Family Guy? There are hundreds of books that are submitted by well-known authors, and the editor goes and butchers their manuscript, changing everything around, because what was written was not popular with what people are looking for. At the end of the day, it comes down to Money. If you're not making them money, your opinion means nothing. It is very difficult to do what you want when you go public. There's no arguing that. And like DPC who said he wants to do this as a career, can't just dance to his own tune every time, this is, unfortunately, the reality of being in the public eye.

No doubt a big part of why DPC insists on keeping this purely a personal endeavor: no boss to answer to, or employees to accommodate.

I think you meant "You can't get Jade on the M&J route?" Jade is the blonde and Cathy is the red head.

And you can get the hj from Cathy while going for M&J.

And also I think it's more appropriate to say "You can't go for Jade as of now, if going for the More than Friends route with M&J."

Because I highly doubt there will be no other chances to get Jade after going with the other route. Just like if you choose the Jade route, I still think you'll have an opportunity to get with either Josy and Maya eventually.

Either choose to fuck "mommy" or go face reality in the library, this branch I am aware. But I am just not sure what's the criteria to get Cathy's handjob scene. In my play through on M/J, the scene did not appear to be an option.

As far as I can tell that's not true. According the mod OP it enables seeing both the Maya and Josy scenes (which I didn't do, I used a second save instead). If you're talking about modding Affinity/Status/RP then that's not the case because I never do that. All I use it for is hitting the maximum Dik or Chick status to go with the Affinity after finishing the update on my clean canon save.

But hey, if that's wrong then I'll be the first to admit it.

As for Cathy, you can get her scene on the M&J path with the mod by switching the M&J relationship "off" before driving her home, then turning it back on again.

Didn't do that though, I just played the game. As I said before, I only use the mod so I know which answers give RP and/or Dik/Chick points, I don't even bother clicking the cheat menu in the corner. I say this not to be defensive (because there's no need to be) but because I'm confused as to how I got a scene so many other people say is impossible to get

Well, if you want to talk about the maximum number of times he can ejaculate, it's actually 6, not 7, and that's by having Massive DIK status and not being with M&J. However, the MC can have more sex on the Neutral/CHICK status and being with M&J as that's 4 times compared to 3 on the other path. Also, you can't get all 9 of these on one playthrough and the Jill one doesn't lead to any sexual act that results in orgasm for either of them and he doesn't ejaculate when sexting Nicole, so those don't really count.

So, to be a bit nitpicky, it's actually more like this:

You definitely cannot get Cathy if you are on the M/J path, but are you absolutely locked out of M&J if you have Massive DIK status?

I've never tried it, but based on my research it is possible to have Neutral affinity during the library scene and still be able to reach Massive DIK or status. So in theory such an MC could earn Maya & Josy's approval, then still fool around with Melanie & Sarah in the hot tub when the time comes.

That is definitely gaming the system, but it is technically a legal Massive DIK playthrough. Assuming I'm right.

The screenshot Wizard posted on the last page seems to confirm it.

I have tested it myself (admittedly in v0.5), it cannot be done. The MC automatically terminated the fling with Cathy on the M&J path, but gave me the option to continue after I went back to an older save and chose to be friends.

Unless this was changed in v0.52 (which would be strange since the official walkthrough still says you can't be on the M&J path), you must have modded your game.

EDIT:
I can also confirm I still automatically end things with Cathy on an M&J-path MC. If I go back to an earlier save and turn down M&J, I get the choice with Cathy. It has not changed.

Right, if MC was heading back to M+J's after dropping the car back at Bella's then there'd be no question. Now, on my save I was full Chick so it'd be fair enough for the scene to be locked out for me but you can play as a dirty manwhore and still manage to remain Chick enough for them so a total lockout shouldn't happen.

It was weird alright. I want my scene with Cathy irregardless of who I chose since I got to her on Swyper but nooo. For some reason I am cockblocked by M/J with some unknown godly powers.

The only girl I was having serious trouble with was Riona on the balcony. I couldn't get her done for the life of me. I posted last night here to get tips on how. The gang told me its because I need to do the MJ roof scene. I don't smoke MJ on the roof scene. I only did it once to get the Quinn scene but that almost made me throw up so I never did it again. Hehe. I finally did just to get to Riona (skipping through Quinn's scene so I didn't have nightmares...hehe. Yep. Quinn repulses me).

I still periodically don't get Camila in the mansion and don't know why. Sometimes I do on runthroughs, sometimes I don't. I'm a completionist and want to find everything I can in a game. When I find everything (like I finally figured out yesterday how to get thrown out of the Library by Bella) I'll do a clean runthrough of my preferred choices in preparation for Episode 6.

I think this story is already being influenced by a vocal minority, if not by direct communications but by an assumption based on past patreon projects.

I’m firmly of the opinion certain characters are hamstrung by a weird desire to not step on people’s toes when it comes to showing them in an actual functioning relationship. The bizarre “it’s NTR if anyone who isn’t the MC is involved with a character” idea is the kinda shit I don’t want influencing this story and it’s making it worse in places. Maya/Josy are making all these decisions about their relationship with MC based on the risk of losing each other but are never allowed to actually be with one another because that would be NTR. They will never be able to prioritise each other here and the story won’t be three people in a relationship it will be two girls in a relationship with the same man.

Sage staying with Chad despite him being so cold with her is another one. I don’t want to see these LI with other people but why write them in relationships only to go a country mile out of your way to specifically never have them do anything.

How much more sense would Sage make if Chad was actually a functioning boyfriend? Someone cheating but still with her. How much more realistic would the whole Maya/Josy no strings idea be if they had a healthy relationship to jeopardise?

Again, I’m no fan of watching LI’s with other partners but NTR looms over all patreon VNs and it’s starting to limit basic design space as writers desperately avoid anything remotely close to it.

You think the story would be better if Chad was a "functioning boyfriend" and Sage had no character motivation to cheat on him? Um...huh? You do know what "conflict" is in storytelling right? "Character motivation?" Trivial things like that? I respect your opinion, and you appear to have given this some thought. But I'm not sure I can agree with any portion of your views on this as they seem to suggest to eliminate conflict and character motivation from a drama.

Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's death in Star Wars was the catalyst that drove Luke to leave Tatooine and "learn the ways of the Force." And Chad being a "bad boyfriend" not only creates an antagonist for the protagonist in the story, but also was a motivation for Sage to need the MC. Eliminate the conflict, you have a pointless character with no dramatic motivation and one less conflict for the MC. These are all rules of creative writing. I don't believe DrPink should change the nature of storytelling and produce a drab uninteresting story with vacuous characters. Doc doesn't follow this forum for instructions so he doesn't care about stepping on toes. If he did, he wouldn't have created Derek, Quinn, Sara, or Riona.

Just offering a different perspective. I think you are focusing on the (in my opinion) inaccurate conclusion that DrPink, the writer of a Pornographic game, is worried about people's sensibilities. Food for thought.
