The last part was so perfectI fucking love how Josy just can't contain herself.She was always my number 1 number 2 spot, alongside with Maya. But Josy starting to solidifying Her number 1 spot. although, Maya also starting to open up more and more, the little library moment was a nice touch. literally

that's why I was surprised at first as well. but my best guess is that I had both the Maya/Josy route and the Jade route unlocked with Scrappy's mod for v0.5

SMark already gave you a solution, but there is another. Apparently, unzipping with The Unarchiver also preserves the execute permissions.
And some advice if I may: Be very careful with the combo sudo and chmod -R. Sudo is not necessary in this case anyway.

You need to talk to Maya or Josy first (can't remember which) and they tell you they like music, then you can play them a song and they'll talk to you.
I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that the update feels so empty. I didn't expect to feel such a void inside over this game lol. Just checked my scenes progression with my only run so far, it's 7/20, so I'll have to do re-runs obviously but it won't progress that much in the story
I guess I'll have to wait for the walkthrough to continue my other saves. Not sure I'll find the will to do them all already, I have to wait for the void-feeling to go away.

To run an app, the executable inside the package needs an execute permisson. Read and Write is not enough. You cannot fix this in the Info panel. You need to add the execute permission in Terminal with chmod a+x. There are two executable files in the package, both called BeingADIK.
As an alternative, if you still have the zip file, unzip it with the Unarchiver. This utility also tends to preserve the correct permissions.

Used the 5.0.2 mod patch and the saves are fully functional on my 6.0 compressed version, rand through with scrappys mod just befpre the update, and all my saves were funtional, plus the bonus options he added with romancing both maya/joyce and then Jade(teacher). Havnt run into any errors as of yet
Any help on which variables to edit to make the mansion repair really easy, have console commands and just in in for the story
