Not sure about the second one, but the "Maya Mom" theory is that Nora is actually Maya's Mom since she just so happens to be at the bar on the same night the Dad shows up at the college. This theory also ignores Nora saying she has no kids and claims she was just lying.

its as people explained the college theme scratches the right hitches for most people as its normally the time where they reached their peak in options and wonder what if they had picked differently although an high school would probably be better if not for legal reasons...! in college my personality was already formed and i had my many options open already i did not had to define myself and open new routes to life hacks!

Also if you want beautiful girls alcohol and plenty of excuses for sex there are few other options that can bring in the perfect storm!

also i do not mind the clones they are fulfilling an important market function of signaling there is a market for these things and therefore more producers artists programmers and so forth will try and take advantage of the opportunity that will increase demand for technology and processing systems that will make the stories run faster!

eventually there will be a consolidation and teams will form up, i hope DPC is one such element that creates a team around him preferably with Yuno Gasai or perhaps yuno will do what ocean lab did find an abandoned game with potential talk to the developer to get the script and create it himself!

anyway the end result is i have something to entertain myself for 18 hours a day and with quantity comes quality!

now here is a concept i can get behind, probably philly would be the best choice for developer or at least writer since war game means there will be some "forceful" interactions! not that there are not better writers out there... i just do not know who they are!

Also for people who do not know! DPC is German married to a feminist Swedish girl (are there non feminist Swedish girls anymore i wonder?)! that is the best of my knowledge!

the reasons being that he fell for a girl who wanted to live near her family, German laws regarding porn and tv are retarded when you add in porn games the politicians always use the most "practical" angle to screw over people! do not get me wrong love German culture hate their history and i find some of them quite enjoyable as people, but thats because my requirement for friends tend to be high and not so much that they are friendly!

Im pretty excited about this free roam hes talking about. I know you tri betas want 'story' but im here to fuck.

The Prep's party freeroam was pretty big, and eventful.

The free roam when staying with Sage was really good; I mean roaming free in a sorority filled with scantily clad or just downright naked college babes, how can that go wrong (and the interactions with Sage, Quinn, Mel & Sarah (and their daughters - Ash & Lily), Heather, Riona - they were all thoroughly enjoyable.

The DIK mansion freeroams aren't that exciting; mostly a sausage fest (thank you Heather for breaking the monotony).

So yeah, looking forward to the biggest free roam yet, can't imagine where it may be taking place...

It seem that to succeed in AVN, college theme (highlighted in green) would be the best bet. In fact college kings growth rate is faster than BeingAdik when it was first released and i still have figure out whats the reason. Anyone mind explaining?

I've seen a few people say "DPC likes dark endings," and similar opinions, but Acting Lessons is the ONLY other game he's ever made. Unless we think DPC is like M. Night Shyamalan, I don't know why we would assume that Being a DIK is going to be the same.

Clearly, the story has some sad elements. For example, we already know that whatever happens with Bella will not be happy in the end ("If I'd known then why she was crying, I would never have kissed her that night." or some such is what the MC narration says in that season 1 scene in the library). And we see that Quinn, Mona, Maya, Sage, and plenty of other characters are struggling with things. Jade is unhappy in her marriage, Sally is perhaps a drug addict, Nicole is a lonely, struggling single mom, the list goes on and on. These storylines are going to play out to varying degrees over the coming episodes. I love this, as these add real depth and nice doses of reality to the story. But will there be a "holy shit, they shot Jill!" kind of moment? I think not, and DPC has repeatedly asked people to stop spreading rumors and assuming that based on Acting Lessons.

I think that Bella has some dark stuff in her past for sure. But I'm really hoping that MC will help her overcome that and they can still have a happy ending. I'm REALLY HOPING HERE, DPC. Please don't hurt my feelings.

Yeah i think we will have plenty of mini games and free roams than usual in episode 7 because we need to balance experience levels and skills for the MC and DIKs brothers in order to repair the mansion, what tasks to be given to each of DIK brothers, working for money etc - Yeah the window cost $65 though. I think this is also one of the reason why episode 7 will be bigger than previous episodes.

I think we will finish up the mansion mini game in ep. 7. I liked it for the most part, but I don't want it to drag on for too long. I want the DIK mansion cleaned up in time for my long-awaited Halloween party.

You mean if the game will break if you complete everything too soon, or if DPC will code something sneaky in to see if you made impossible progression and undermine you?

Probably not. Different rooms being complete will result in the various rooms having cleaned up renders, but an actual "Yay we've finished" scene my not play at the right time.

I pretty much cleaned up the entire mansion in the first few sessions and maxed out everyone's stats (so they can all clean a room in one go on their own). Got about three rooms left and they are done...

Most of those 10-15 pages are the same as the pages the days before. Most people here are very boring and repetitive.

Just skim through the crap to see the good posts.

Hopefully episode 7 brings some closure to the open stories, if I see Maya loan bullshit or Tybalt suing one more time I'm gonna apply to be a mod.

Not quite, if you translate it with Google, Deepl or the like. The sense disappear and it is translated literally.

And what did you expect them to do? That's how a machine translator works. Give them 2 words and they'll translate them literally. Give them a little more context (like putting 'true colors' in a whole paragraph) and you'll probably get a better result

I could imagine that in EP7 we will learn the real reasons of Maya's father.
That Josy/Maya/MC meet Mona and Mona tells the three everything she knows.
Or a flashback from the Burke's.

What is Mona going to say that the MC doesn't already know? FFS Maya already knows all she needs to know, she was told point blank by Quinn what it takes for her to get "free tuition", but she's a deluded, naive little girl that expects tens of thousands of dollars to be handed to her the second she makes some fake videos.

This week I worked mainly on static renders and a few animations.

Something I worked extra hard on this week was environment design, and I will have to continue to work on this and the last free-roam event next week. It will be a fairly big free-roam event, but work should be progressing at a steady pace.

I have written plenty of the script too, and I only have a handful more scenes to write.

On top of the free-roam event, static renders and writing; I have some work left with phone content, mini-games and music/sound.

I cannot estimate how long this will take, but I can feel that the episode must be at least 80% complete in terms of content (static renders/animations/GUI elements).

The final percentages always take the longest to complete, as polishing and wrapping things up are needed, but we are in the end-game of development of this beast of an episode.

Something new that I can reveal for you today is the episode title, and it will be:

Another month at least. No info on static renders for our resident accountant to break down. A lot of work on... environmental design? 6 months for a new release. This shit better be good, because the waiting time is getting ridiculous.
