Good to see you back here Mark, interested to know how you enjoyed Jill's solo scene last episode!

Well like I said I haven't touched Ep. 7 at all, but I have seen it in online playthroughs so I know what to expect and I'm actually pretty happy something like that happened. Maybe it'll help her confidence..? I don't know. The Tybalt thing still has me pissed off after this many months and I probably won't truly come back to the game until I know if next episode's story deals with it and maybe ends it.

To me, it's pointless BS drama but I don't want to get all riled up about that. There's a few other game updates that are coming out that I am following and at least two of them are going to mess me up mentally when I play them so I don't want this one to add to that weight if it's something else I'm not going to like seeing.

It's bad enough I'm going to have to go through the entire game again through two "new" episodes and I still don't know how far DPC is going to take this game episode wise but I need to try to see if I can get past things and I know there's a HUGE free-roam in Ep. 7 that I am NOT looking forward to either.

I want to see Jill's concert, and what the MC does for her, but I don't know if that's coming this episode. Just want to see the blackmail shit end then I think I will return to this game.

It was a good week.

As you know, I've been working on static renders for quite some time now.

And the development has passed a very nice milestone: 200 animations and 2000 renders fully produced.

I have 5 more scenes that I can pose renders for, but I need to get back to writing again after that.

I've yet to write several big and important scenes, and it feels good that I've almost caught up my writing with the art.

Next week I'll likely work on static renders again and then write the rest of the episode.

I cannot accurately estimate the remaining work, but I'd be surprised if it didn't surpass the next milestone I have my eyes on: 300 animations and 3000 renders.

Mixed bag update really, A little behind anything else this season for still renders, closest at this point is 5. At current development speed he won't reach or surpass Episode 7 still renders unitl November 5th. However it is fair to presume that once the animations are done, the speed of still renders will be rapid and we might see a spike similar to week 15 of episode 7 where there was an uptick in still production after the animations were mostly done.



Ahead of episodes 5 and 6 on Animations, but well behind 7. At this rate animations won't surpass 7 until the Spetember 17th update and won't cross 300 unitl October 8th October. The fact there are a bunch pre queued animations and, he may have actually finished more than the update says, might make this a little more positive.

The last proper number update was in June 25. He had 1000 static renders and 115, in that updates. although he said he reached in that Week, so we don't exactly know when. Anyway, 49 day later, and we now have 2000 render, and 200 animation. another 49 day if we assume it would take a similar long time for him, that would be October 1. When he would reach 3000 render, and 300 animation. ?!
late october, may be early november. Of course if he stops with the animation, and just focus on the renders, who know how fast it would be.
What is promising he did not mention so far anything new " feature" so he not invent an another mini game, or new phone or something, what would take time away.

He was such a machine during Episode 7 development and yet the episode itself honestly feels like a filler episode. A very good filler episode, but still feels like it existed only to set up the season finale

He was such a machine during Episode 7 development and yet the episode itself honestly feels like a filler episode. A very good filler episode, but still feels like it existed only to set up the season finale

That depends more on the story evolution than in the ammount of renders. And yet i didn't had that impression of episode 7. Some things like Chad being gay and Sage helping Maya felt more like key turning points rather than setups for future climatic moments.
About the last update the thing that got me worried is that general estimation of 300 animation and 3000 renders. That ratio of 1/10 animation to renders is by far the highest of all the game. Since animations are mostly porn and renders are more mixed up with the story, i am wondering if the porn is not going to swallow the story. I hope not, i love the porn but i also like the story.

Personally, and I've said this before, I'd rather have the story than the sex. The lewd stuff to me needs to make sense when it comes to the story and to be placed into the game at the right time rather than just there for those who want it to be there.

Perhaps I am in the minority there and I'm sure I am, but that's alright. We each get what we want from these games and this one is no exception.

I won't say, I know how time consuming the writing, coding, etc etc. But I dare to assume its less than the actual manual labor for renders and animations. the part you quoted is particularly interesting to me : I've almost caught up my writing with the art.".
I assume the way he works, is : He create the arts first, for example, the MC & Quinn "park date" or wherever they are. And after, or while those are rendering , HE write the actual dialog between them. . But I'm just guessing.
But there is also 2 interesting facts, he mentioned. The one is, he said it last week, some renders and animations takes longer to render than her originally anticipated, do to the environment and the number of characters.
and another thing he mentioned that he is creating "longer " animations, I assume they take longer to render too.
The Question is, what type of the remaining content are, lets say this 200 animation and 2000 render contain the hardest parts. and the remaining are easier task.

I fully disagree with this statement. filler is like the DNG. - which i enjoyed anyway . But Episode 7 , moves every character and plenty storyline forward. the last thing you can say about it, is that it is a "filler episode "

It fucking better not happen. Honestly, D&G is such a shit that I never want it to happen again. It's just distracting with nothing interesting in it, and it also takes away previous development time, which DPC instead could have used to produce more story.

If he's gonna do it, then he better keep an option, Skip or Continue.

Seriously, there is nothing you need to worry about, it is very comedic relief the whole thing thanks to Bella who sabotaging, Tybalt's plan, in one case with the help of MC.
And Jill is masturbating, and imagining her first time having sex with MC while she hold a photo of him, and the next morning She ask MC to join her to a morning run, where She undress in front of him to bikini.

I don't worry about this, Not every animation is lewd animation, even the characters blink can be considering as animation . But better example is like Josy showing up in her Bikini in the Hots pool.. instead of 4-5 render of MC checking her out from toe to head, without a word, or a " Wow" line. We get a short animation where the camera showcased her beauty, and than back to the conversation imediatly.
I assume if there is a Gym workout with Josy, it will be similar, instead of 6-7 render, we get an animation of her working out. phillygames, often use this trick to. It makes even more "living " the game.

Yeah I won't do that choice for sure about not fighting for her. And I've seen the tennis scenes where you get DIK points each time for hitting him, but I'm full CHICK by mid 6th Ep. anyway so I probably couldn't do that even if I wanted to.

D&G is distracting, boring, waste of time. When I heard that there were X no. of animations in ep6, I was excited but later I realized that 60% of them were D&G and not a single one of them was good.

before I wrote that the seventh is my favourite chapter and I confirm it, but it remains basically a filler

in the fillers it's normal that the main characters interact and then their story and their relationship evolve. it's not D&G....

But in summary very little happens.
the most important point is that Josy went to the HOTs

the relationship between Maya and Josy is shaken, but nothing happened one way or the other (both in the troupe and without)
Sage decides to talk to Maya, but still continues to believe Quinn (in a nonsensical way) and will try to help her (we don't even know what Maya told her)
MC says he doesn't want to be Sage's fuckbuddy anymore, but he still continues to be one
Bella and Jill postpone their big moment with MC (first time and first date)
Tybalt's blackmail has not yet ended.
Cathe will leave, but she's not gone yet
the revelation that Chad is gay will maybe be important in the next chapter, but in this one it was little more than a flash
