DPC deleted his original account in Aug 2018, after being constantly harassed about how episode 0.5 ended (long before AL ended).

Then created a new account in Nov 2018, after the heat about episode 0.6 had died down a bit and he'd started the switch to BaDIK. But the harassment followed him into BaDIK, extending as far as death threats:

Doesn't seem counter intuitive to me, I wouldn't put up with that either.

Martin game, making people get fond of your characters, and then killing them out of the blue, you must have the guts to endure the rage that has created yourself among your own fans. Yea, that all sounds great. But his first post here in Feb. 2019 was a pretty brutal shot at anyone that didn't like his ending to AL. When he intentionally pokes the bear he shouldn't be surprised at being mauled.

Of course someone that makes death threads should be banned. I don´t know how many of those there actually were, and I don´t think that DPC felt really in danger, but it´s not pleasant and should not be allowed.

That said, the angry reaction about the ending of AL was provoked by DPC himself. He should have known what was going to happen. People don´t want to get fond of a character to see her die meaningless. I only hope he will not do the same with BaDIK.

About hanging here with us, I´m pretty sure that he enters in this tread from time to time. But I understand that he doesn´t want to interact with us. He doesn´t need it anymore. That´s something that usually only new devs trying to make themselves known do.

The difference is, in Acting Lessons the people dying were characters that were part of the story. In George Martin's books, you read each chapter from the 1st person view of many of the characters -> so when they die it is more like having your DND character killed than just a story NPC die.

Not sure about everyone else, but that was what made character death in Song of Ice & Fire so much more shocking for me. That and the fact that it always surprised me (starting with Ned!).

OK, now I understand you. Lynette´s family were living in the newer house, and sold them to the Royces to move to the older mansion. Yes, that´s possible.

Or just, one of the two friends of Lynette in that photo (probably the brunette one) is a Royce and that´s her house.

If you look at the physical resemblance of the characters, Maya is not Derek´s twin sister (they don't even look the same race), Neil is the father of Derek and John Boy, Tommy is Tremolo´s evil twin, and Jill is a Kardashian... I don´t know where that train of thoughts can carry us...

DPC himself has written in such a way that seemingly unimportant decisions have no impact at first, but become important later. As you correctly note, Steven has a haircut of 50. Quinn refers to Josy's dance in EP5 as a 70s dance. Neil and Lynette's story takes place in the late 90s, and the calendar on Maya's closet shows us 2017 and 2020, which are the 10s and 20s of the 21st century.

1950: Grandfather or grandmother
1970: father or mother
1990: Josy, Maya, Sage, Jill, Tommy, Rusty, MC, etc.
2017-2020: presence of Josy and MC working in the store.

The problem is that most of people, when they see "Adult VN" they automatically think about sex only without even care about the plot or the story. I have not even run into trouble once even playing 0.8.0 ... patching to 0.8.1 only made Sage blowjob vanish from the rewards screen but that's about it... it's just a fine tune process anyways but as it would seem a .2 fix patch is the final one... or not
