Now you bring it up... I can't see how he can do anything NSFW that isn't her being bisexual or somehow with the MC. Maybe the ret-con about when the MC and her were together was done to shore up this interlude. The random scene buried in an episode flew under the radar for potentially being between two underaged kids. Doubt he could sneak an entire interlude through without them explicitly being 18.

Maybe this interlude will include some of the time with the MC before she left? I highly doubt he'd show Zoey with another guy.

She can fuck the dog from the S1 train scene for all I care. I just want to get back to ep. 9.

No, I haven't seen DPC say it, so I'm just going by what others have said on the thread. I certainly would appreciate some clarity from the big guy about the Interlude though. What is the premise? Does it take place in san Diego or at B&R or both? Will MC be involved at all? Need to know these things. If I wanted to see random people fucking, I'd just watch porn. Tattoo girl and her cuckboy next to her mean absolutely nothing to me. Who are these knobheads and why do we care about them?

DPC hasn't said anything about the Interlude beyond it being fun for the whole playerbase... much to my annoyance. But the first Zoey preview was before she got her tattoos, so it's likely at least a little of it will be before she leaves. That could include a roll in the hay or two with the young MC.

I don't see how it could take place at current B&R, though. Even if we skip ahead past the meeting with the Burkes, how far can we go into that flashforward before snapping back to the "present" becomes impractical? I don't think it's far enough to be worth it unless there's much more to do than catch up with Zoey. But I very much doubt this would include a lewd scene no matter what happens; it would either make the crossroads a laughingstock or require far too much branching to fit into Interlude frame.

Of course it's possible Zoey could have a lewd scene with the new boyfriend in San Diego. Yes, it's a tinderbox of you-know-what waiting to detonate, but if we're in control of Zoey at the time it might not be quite as bad as normal. I doubt DPC would do it, but it would at least be something unexpected.

Perhaps the Interlude could spend a few days in present time (a few days after Zoey shows up at Neils house) and develop her decision to apply and/or arrive at B&R to see MC. Of course this is after we get to know about her time in San Diego and what led up to her moving back (and why she went to Neils in the first place). Or perhaps the Interlude will be Zoey telling Neil about her time in San Diego in the present in a sort of flashback sequence. I guess how the timeline is portrayed doesn't matter too much

I completely agree, not sure what they could possibly do if Doc decides to make Zoey and MC meet up during the Interlude without ruining any of the Main Girl routes from Ep.8 (Making MC a cheater)

I strongly suspect that we will get to see the MC.

Before high school:
Neil had a legal battle at one point. Maybe we'll learn more about that as well.

High School:
We know how Zoey and the MC met. But what we don't know is how the parents' lawsuit was averted by the bully the MC beat up. The charges were averted, so no lawsuit. We will also certainly learn how Zoey and the MC became closer. Why did Zoey go to San Diego before, or how could Zoey go to San Diego before? Simple. Zoey is 1 year older than the MC. Josy lived with her father during her senior year of high school. This is where the events overlap. The MC is still in high school when Zoey goes to San Diego. Now Josy comes to the same high school, but never meets Zoey. The breakup between the MC and Zoey was not long ago and the MC was also not sure if it was love or not. The MC doesn't want to jump right into the next relationship. Josy is in a relationship with Maya and we know that Josy is faithful in a relationship but that she doesn't talk about that relationship. Josy and the MC probably run into each other all the time at school, but don't notice each other. That only happens when they both work at the store.

But what does this have to do with Zoey now? Zoey is a year older than the MC. What if Zoey just wanted to take a year off and then go to college with the MC? Then Zoey meets Josy's mom in San Diego as she's getting a tattoo. They talk at length and find things in common, like Josy goes to the same high school as Zoey. Now Zoey meets another man and falls in love with him. Contact between Zoey and the MC breaks off. But Zoey's new relationship does not last. Suddenly she sees a video of Tremolo on the Internet, as he gives a concert with Jill. Old memories are awakened and Zoey goes off to college.

In my opinion, Interlude will answer some questions.

How did Tommy end up at B&R? (This question is not really important).
Josy was not accepted to B&R in the beginning. And why? She's actually the perfect college girl.
Surprisingly, she does get accepted to B&R. But why? Was she on the phone with her mother? Is Josy's mother and/or Zoey the connection to the rich and powerful in the BaDIK world?

DPC himself has written that he is also doing the interlude to clarify some issues and not just for technical reasons. It is also to answer some questions to better understand EP9.

Yeah I'm actually a little nervous because I don't want to waste hours trying to get whatever Rio screenies I can. I'm going to have to do a run where I'm not a client of hers and a run where I am just to get whatever I can.

At least Jill's run is pretty straight-forward, do this and this and that happens. We'll see how long I can go with this. Taking a big step outta my comfort zone.

Yes, get her at the Ep7 party. Toward the end of the episode she will text you asking for help where she thinks someone is following her.

EP8 is interesting on the Rio path as if you help her with the stalker problem at the dorm party her attitude does appear to change toward you (it is nice in a way and a victory for Rio fans).

Also at the end of Ep8 if everything else happens, she rearranges the furniture in your room as a bit of a tease (like a little kid would do when they like someone).... it is sweet in a way but what I think is also important is Heather says, "Be nice to her".
To me, that is pretty big. Rio has either already told Heather about MC or Heather has really good intuition that Rio likes MC.

Make my "Interlude" a full up Rio/MC episode With good writing, Rio could be girlfriend material.

Sure she's great girlfriend material but she has a problem that she's going to have to deal with and we already know what it is and the problem is if that person is going to try to manipulate her

Maya will explain her situation (which, as has been debated around here makes no sense at all and is practically impossible to happen) to the Burke's to which Burke will say something of the lines of "But that's not how loans work.", to which Maya will be like:

I think we're going to have to swallow the fact that in DiK universe, that is how loans work. I don't know whether DPC wasn't aware of the legal details, or just ignored them for poetic licence... but I'm pretty sure this does not get resolved by someone just pointing out that it's all nonsense.

Actually it's all the same with the other characters in the game... pick one be nice to her that's all I don't really get the fuss about this... sure things can get complicated if you mix LIs in one run... but why would you do that ?

but Mc will not take part in the discussion, or so Sage asks him, he will wait outside with Josy, so he will not directly support either Sage or Maya.

the way the scene has been presented he will have as usual the passive role of a shoulder to cry on if things go wrong, but waiting for them outside the door or outside the building, or in his room doesn't change much (apart from the possible drama with Jade)

I don't understand him. He always complains that the long development process increases his stress. And instead of making the episodes shorter, but richer, he makes a side story the size of the first episode. While from the outside it looks like he's tired of the game, he wants to take a break by focusing on the side story about Zoey.

P.S. If he really decides on a mini-episode+ episode strategy, he will never finish the game. It's impossible.
He needs at least 8 years to close all this.

That's why I'm waiting for his questions and answers and I'm afraid that he has changed his mind about the number of episodes in the direction of increasing them.

Is the MC part of that deal without his knowledge?

The same goes for Sage. In the beginning, some tried to convince the MC to go after Sage. Riona and Tommy. The MC guitar ends up with Sage. After the Dorm Party, Sage suddenly has braids like KRJ at the Dorm Party. Mmmmmhhh. If you're well drunk, you might confuse Sage and KRJ. Maya didn't tell KRJ that Derek was her brother either. The confusion is bound to happen. Is Sage part of this deal without her knowledge? Which would be even worse if she knew about the deal and agreed to it.

Meeting Jade is the only twist in the segment, so even if he were to meet her at class the next day, it would change very little...

All he does in that situation is hurt Maya because the meeting becomes more about him than her problem.

MC may have done more than punch Tybalt, too; that tennis match can be pretty brutal. Also for whatever reason I think that the meeting at the beginning with MC and Chad might come in to play. Maybe not a big thing, but how MC reacted then could do something here.
