if they fell out of favor later, the name at the college would remain

what would remain unexplained is why Tybalt, who couldn't help but know it, wants so badly to associate with a disgraced lineage and especially why Jill believes she can threaten him....
Actually, the college administration council (or whatever it is called) can vote for a name change due to different reasons. So if the Royce's were really disgraced, they would have removed the name from the college.

Just like Chris Benoit, the pro-wrestler. After the double murder-suicide thing happened, WWE chose to cut all association with him and removed his name from the World Title's lineage.

The Royce's are big, no question about it, Rusty bragging to Jill being a Burgmeister did get inflated pretty fast when Jill told him she is a Royce. Besides that Tybalt has a reason to pursue Jill, he only cares about status, if the Royce's were atleast of the same caliber or less then his own family's he would not be after her at all, he only looks up...

B&R is a pretty small college, so it's not that significant. Burmeister and Royce could have been influential several decades ago, and now they have already lost their former political and economic influence.
Judging by the life they are living, I don't think they've lost it all that much. When you have that much money, you are the only one that can stop yourself.

We also don't know if Rusty's Dad could have forced the issue over Tybalt by getting him into the Preps if he'd really wanted it. All we see is that Rusty gets rejected and Tommy suggests their own frat, with blackjack and hookers.

Rusty would have been accepted if he didn't start with demanding to be the president of the preps. Ofcourse Tybalt is gonna say no to that.... That's no measurement of wealth, a new guy coming asking to join and demanding to take your job? That's a hostile takeover..

If the Royces had done something untoward and immoral, yes, but if they had simply become less wealthy, why would they take away the name? Then, to play devil's advocate, it could be only Jill's father who has financial problems, and the rest of the family could still be doing well.

However, I don't think that's the case, because otherwise Tybalt wouldn't be begging for his place at the Royce table, and Jill would have demonstrated her stupidity in humiliating him so terribly if she had a clay-footed giant behind her.

One question that's been on my mind is how rich the Burke's are they clearly are well off but how did they manage to donate considerable amount of money to the college because it seems as so they are both just professor's.

We don't really know how rich, we know Burke is the one with the money, not Jade, but most of it might just aswell be in the hands of Burke's father or mother for all we know.... We know of Burke's donations from those papers, we just don't know if it's Burke's father donating as payment for his sons job at B&R or if Burke himself is manipulating the books.... It's all speculations.

It's entirely possible he's using Quinn's restaurant (or his version of it, like the newspaper mentions) to generate said money.

these are all speculations, but from Jade's words I would say that Burke is the first "rich" of his family, he doesn't come from an important family (which could also connect to Tybalt's phrase about coming from nothing and his fixation on establishing himself socially), no clue as to where this wealth comes from, however, perhaps from the trafficking, at a higher level, that he runs

Can't remember that, maybe ill do a rerun sometimes lol, i know Jade said she had to work for her degree while he bought it though, that probably why he isn't teaching but bookkeeping and such....

Nah, that's all for drugs for the girls involved in the restaurant. However Burke is the one getting the sponsors, as long he brings enough smaller ones he can claim large funds being donated in his name by creative bookkeeping or he can put any anonymous gift as being his.... He's there when the money comes in, he's there when it is put in the books and he's the one that can talk to the papers about large donations from within his function in B&R.

I think that the old woman at the elderly home, that mentions that her son doesn't visit her anymore, is Stephen's mother. Basically Stephen got rich and decided to somewhat abandon his old life.

Burke is involved in the restaurant and probably takes a large cut out of the profits, but I don't think he's involved in the drugs' business. That's way too risky and if caught, he's getting a 25-to-life. The drug thing I think is all Quinn and Riona and it's their side-business and that's why it's going so badly, because Quinn has no idea how to run a large scale operation.

with all the fantasy of the world: the ristornate to Burke costs directly or indirectly a free tuition for girl, to,that if it does not spend that money directly it is money that it manages in this way for the restaurant.

Now, if the restaurant is only what we have seen, from which must come out a part for the girls, a part for Quinn and a part for Burke, it seems to me difficult to get rich.

The girls' cut goes directly for the tuition. Unless Burke works the books and doesn't put money in the college, but in his pockets directly, forcing the college to work on a loss. That's a dumb thing to do. An IRS revision gets them into a load of trouble and possible jail time.

Burke definitely takes a bigger cut out of the profits as he's the one that actually does the fraud. Quinn also takes a cut, but apparently it's not big enough to help with her drug business. That's why she thought that if more people were involved, there was going to be more profits, but it eventually backfired.

I'm not sure if the girls get a cut from the profits. It's not mentioned anywhere, so they might be paid on the number of clients that they serve. It's definitely not for free though, as Camila mentioned multiple times that she has sex for money, even though it's not something that she's exactly proud of.

Burke arranges scholarships and gets sex with the girls in return, why would he even need to be in the restaurant part? The less he even knows about that part the better for him. Imagine Jade would expose the restaurant in action, that would be a tough situation for him, no, pretty sure he doesn't even know about the restaurant, it's just extra risks... Quinn is the one that's involved with both the scholarship for sex and the restaurant part but it's not even a given for each girl that gets that free tuition to be in the restaurant...

If Burke has something to do with prostitution, then surely some insignificant amount and then it's clearly not worth risking reputation. The college students are probably not rich, and I don't think the girls from the sisterhood go out to work off campus. Of course, Burke can use them to achieve a positive result in some business transactions or uses them as an escort, but it's still quite risky and stupid. So far, Burke looks like an ordinary customer of Quinn's restaurant, who gives the girls free tuition in exchange for free services.

There was a theory on Reddit that the guy with the pigtail who was looking for his daughter was Jill's father. He was sitting with Jill's mother at the concert. So he obviously appeared for a reason. Jill probably should have been at the party if it wasn't for Cathy's accident.
I'm pretty certain man-bun guy is Arieth's father. He has red hair, his daughter was supposed to be at the party but was missing due to a miscommunication, and his eccentric behavior matches Arieth's. We're obviously meant to think he's Sage's father to disguise her real family, but his part of the scene still holds up once we know the truth (Sage's real family, not so much).

I doubt running a teenage prostitution racket would be less risky to Burke than selling weed.
