Sorry to see you go. Understand your frustration but I can't have a tiered system that offers the same content throughout the tiers, why would folks pay anything other than the lowest fee? I have to give those that pay more, more content (or rather faster access to the content). I don't think my tiers are particularly expensive, especially when compared to others and I crank out updates at a frequent rate, faster than most other devs too.

Totally appreciate the support you have given me, always thankful for that and I appreciate the issues you or anyone else in these times have prioritising where your money goes. Totally understandable.

In terms of the full release, I would like to get it on Itch at some point but there is a 1gb limit on file size uploads there right now (what is this the 90's or something?) and even since I switched to .webp images in Chapter 5, the game is already over that. So unless Itch understands that it's 2025 now and games are generally a little larger then I doubt it will make it over there. As I said in the message above, I do plan a Steam release though, sometime this year.
There is a way to host your game on a third party host and that allows you to have your game as big as you want. Mega/ Go file or any other host you want. I don't know the exact process going on behind the scene, but a few games ask me to use a non native host on Itch to download it.

Yeah, there is a fee involved in that process though but outside that, I'm not keen on third party hosting in general as it's not as secure and relies on up time for both Itch and the third party site. I dunno why they have that limit in there, there is an option to contact them if your upload is bigger, I'll do that but if I don't get a positive response from them, I doubt I'll be able to go beyond chapter 4 on Itch.

Cheers! Will the Steam release be an early access like now where you add new chapters on the go or will the story be finished by then? If not, will the update frequency with Steam be the same as Patreon? Some devs do larger chunks for Steam.

Thx Mate!

Those are great questions. The kind of questions I need to work out answers for before I launch to Steam. My idea right now is to start preparing for a Steam launch between chapter 7 and 8 roll outs. So that will be early access as the game is planned to have 10 chapters in total. Obviously on Steam it will be a one time charge for the whole game, I'll not be releasing individual chapters for purchase like it works on Itch at present.
For frequency of updates. Right now I do half chapters every month. I'm trying to shift away from that with Chapter 6 being delivered in one instalment, but the sheer volume of content means it will take around 35 - 40 days to complete. It's all about keeping control of the content per chapter, I completely lost it with chapter 5, hehe. It ended up 21 scenes in length at 894 total renders. For reference Chapter 2 has 280 renders and Chapter 3 629, Chapter 4 740.
I am hoping to keep to around 40 day or so update schedule but a lot will depend on how many renders I feel I need to tell the story as that is the limiting factor right now, with the script and coding always waiting on renders.
My goal has always been to complete well before the end of 2025, I've already got my next project planned with core storyline in place, I'm not going to start on that until BF is finished though.

Behemoth done :)

Yesterday
After 152 renders plus 5 animations, the behemoth scene is complete, yay! That's 200 hours plus of rendering and probably at least another 200 in set up too !!
I can see the finishing line now for chapter 6, with 4 large scenes left (no where near Behemoth size) and 5 small scenes. I'll put up an ETA for chapter 6 at the next weekly update.
It's a great scene, happy with it but I'm also so happy to be done building it :)

OK WHAT THE HELL . WERE THE HELL ARE CHAPTERS 4 & 5

I replied to your post on Patreon. Simply go to "Collections" select the downloads for the tier you are subbed to and all the downloads are there.

what's ETA for next public? shitreon is blocked for me
Once Chapter 6 is complete and released to Patreon, I will look to make Chapter 4 free and try to get Chapter 5 onto Itch as a paid chapter ($5) if they allow me to upload it. Chapter 6 should be complete sometime before the 15th, I'm rendering out the last couple of scenes right now, just need to test, clean up and compile after that.
