I liked this update since I'm more into the fantasy aspect of this game. I will also admit I didn't like the Rey stuff either, the patch made it a bit better but I will admit I was pissed that there wasn't a choice to get angry with her for doing it.

I really have no interest in Kaylee/Rey what so ever. So it annoyed me even more when I had an unavoidable sex scene with a character I have no interest in and find really unattractive. Add in the fact that even though you explained that the MC wants it so it isn't rape, to me it was rape.

It's your story though and you have already explained the reasons for it, even though I don't agree with them so I won't go on about it.

All I want to know is will there be an option to avoid doing anything else with her both in the board game and in the real world? there was no clear cut choice to tell her you aren't interested in her. After that scene the MC just says something about how he is not interested right now but might be later.

Those of you who have followed since the beginning know that I take all respectable feedback seriously, and I absolutely am considering every word that each of you are saying. This should be indicated by the fact that I had a patch available to at least mostly avoid the content within minutes of the initial complaint.

Since the entire scene is unimportant in terms of the overarching story, I do not have any qualms about making changes to help those who find it to be out of line. I absolutely see where you're coming from. Please understand that assuming I make changes, which I almost certainly will, it won't be instant. I will need a few days to rework how the scene flows, rather than just put a bandaid on it (Like I've already done).

I do appreciate your feedback, and it IS being considered for my path forward!

Edit: Also, just so those who care are aware, the short term patch has been implemented into the primary build, and is being uploaded to all the mirrors right now.

I just downloaded this game and now I am hearing all this talk about rape. Sorry but not into it. You either remove it or you find not many people are going to care.

I enjoy sex games but I don't enjoy rape games. Goes against my moral compass! For now I will delete the game. If you decide to remove it, than I will redownload it in the future.

I can see how people will want to have a choice about relationships and interactions with as many of the characters as possible. Sometimes the author has an overarching reason for forcing a situation in a story. Just remember, dev... It's your story. Tell it how you like it. I know I will.

I appreciate it But like I said, the scene in question is flavor, not substance. It'll stay in the game as written, but I'll be making a story friendly way of allowing folks to opt out of it. And those who elect to continue as written will be aware of what to expect going into it.

Thanks, for making it clear. The reason why I wanted to know it is because it would help people decide what they want. Since people were calling it rape I specified it as a supposed rape, since everybody obviously has other views on this. It has been a while since I played the game, but I assume we're talking about a love interest. This will most likely answer a lot of the player's questions, and they should honestly read this before they decide to drop the game.

One of the girls has her "game world" characters force herself on the MC. You as the player get the opportunity to end it, and lecture the girl in question about consent, or you can continue and enjoy the sex scene. The entire thing takes place in the game world, with their game world characters. In terms of story, no one is getting raped.

I admit to walking a fine line with this, and have actually reached out to multiple other devs, and even some F95 staff to get more viewpoints from an outside POV. I'm truly trying to be honest about the content of the game. If I were to, for example, add the "Rape" tag to the game, those people who are actually looking for that content would not find what they are looking for in BTW. In addition, it would likely turn away those who understand the content for what it is meant to be.

In this instance I don't particularly care one way or another if this is changed or remains the same, however...

The people who do actually have a problem with it aren't exactly wrong, since the character doesn't have the ability to consent and there have been no previous interactions to set any sort of sexual stage.[Thats an important component I think]

For example, it wouldn't really work to shove my cock down my girl's throat while she was asleep just because she was generally fine with the idea of giving me a BJ unless we'd had some prior interaction or discussion that made it clear she'd be fine with it.
If I'm fucking some girl and then just without warning switch it up and stick my dick in her arse then she might suddenly not be cool with that despite being down to fuck in a general sense.

As I said above, I don't really care in this instance [I did care and did ask for the rape tag in the VN "The Coven" when the doctor rapes the MC early on] but to keep everyone happy you could add a scene at the beginning of the sexual encounter where you snap back to "real life" at the table and have the MC say [with a grin on his face or whatever to indicate he's fine with it] something like "Oh, so thats how you like it? Well turnabout is fair play..." , to allude to perhaps a later scenario where Rey [or even Kaylee] will wake up with the MC balls-deep already.
Or as per the patch you've made, have the MC ask to make a will save to end the encounter.
Just a thought.
