Amen to that!!Maybe that's the actual problem if you bring Eric in its still a retread. It needs to be something completely different to draw people in. The devs of these Big Brother reboots need to think outside the box. (and no I don't mean send them to space)
These reboots or reworks just need to add on to the things that were missing in the old game. Lisa sex ed with Ann and Eric, Eric actually banging Alice, Lisa finally banging the MC, the Oliva and Lisa route that got dropped after a couple of months in the original. There is content to be mined that none of the reworks or remakes have ever touched. Many of them just extend already resolved plots like Alice streaming, or Ann, and never focus on the dangling threads from the original game. That, and they have small updates, in the two years this game existed it has covered, what? About 4 or 5 updates of the old game?Maybe that's the actual problem if you bring Eric in its still a retread. It needs to be something completely different to draw people in. hoping for something like this in the next update. we need more new stuff with lisa.

My point is: I absolutely do want the Dev to be successful on Patreon & Co.. Simple logic: if he finds enough supporters, he will continue, and we get to play the updates. In order to be successful he should listen to his audience: never once have I read a comment - here or on Patreon - complaining about the interface. Zero comments. Nada. I did read a TON of comments however about speed of implementation and not keeping deadlines etc.Aleksey simply isn't happy with the game in it's current state and also changed the interface, as you can see in the preview pics.
If he doesn't like it, why release it as a "finished" season?
If you want him to succeed and have a recipe how to to that, then you should talk to him on discord directly and not adress it to us wise guys here in the forum. My point is: I absolutely do want the Dev to be successful on Patreon & Co.. (Note, I am not addressing this at you, kinda hoping Dev reads this)
The Olivia Lisa route was a nightmare as it blocked the Lisa and Olivia routes later in the game. I don't even want to think how many real and game days I was grinding at that getting nowhere. It needs a root and branch redesign, the number of threads which didn't inform other threads they where relevant toso you'd have full sex with someone on one opportunity but they'd be shy about kissing you in another it's noticeable that Dark Silver has altered the system in his Glamour reworking and for now simplified the number of threads) there's still about 9000% dangling plot threads that go nowhere or peter out to nothing but I think Another Story and BB In Space have the right ideaThese reboots or reworks just need to add on to the things that were missing in the old game. Lisa sex ed with Ann and Eric, Eric actually banging Alice, Lisa finally banging the MC, the Oliva and Lisa route that got dropped after a couple of months in the original. Else, just make a new game with new characters.
Is the rework unnecessary? Everyone seems to assume this going back and reworking the system is done for aesphetics or mercenary reasons, however, I'm sure we've all worked on something were we've effectively painted ourselves into a corner and had to start again to progress (if nothing else my BB save files reflect that). Is the progress in the story slowing to a crawl frustrating absolutely but if the changes mean we get eventual progression I can live with that it's not like there's nothing to keep you busy while you are waiting (Glamour, Big Brother in Space, etc)Alesky can't satisfy everyone .
Some are Originally BB Original fans , others are not , some want following BB Original route, while others want new different opportunities.
Some are NTR fans and only playing for that , while others want Eric as side character.
So , i respect the Dev choice in the game , my only problem is the progress ratio , especially with that unnecessary rework just because few players asked for that ( As what Nemo said above ) , i bet most players wanted just updating the opportunities asap .
I would recomend you to start with the original by Dark Silver you can find here and then this one. All others are just failed atempts at rebooting the game, or fan made packs put together with a wide difference in style, pace and tastes.I hope I don't break any rule of discussion, but I noticed there are many "Big Brother" games and I was wondering what is the order to play (if there's one) even if some of them are abandoned.
great, appreciated it very much, thank youI would recomend you to start with the original by Dark Silver you can find here and then this one. All others are just failed atempts at rebooting the game, or fan made packs put together with a wide difference in style, pace and tastes.
You can also try Glamour, also developed by Dark Silver, but be warned the quality is abysmal. I won't go into another rant about Dark Silver, my personal thoughts about his talent are well known already.
Hope it helps.
I would absolutely get a walkthrough before starting it. The original is a grindy mess that relies on being in really specific places at really specific timesgreat, appreciated it very much, thank you
I don't mind a complete redesign. What I have potential issues with is that unless he plans to reuse a significant percentage of his existing renders rather than redoing them all we're going to take a massive step back in content and it's going to take a long time to catch up to where he was before. It doesn't really matter how much of the code and dialog he can repurpose. That's not really the driving force behind the time commitment. Setting up the scenes and render time are the big drivers for time commitment. So redoing all of the renders would mean he's throwing out hundreds if not thousands of hours of already completed work for minor improvements in the same scenes. When replacements for the old renderings were announced, I did not expect a complete redesign,
Even as I am looking forward to see what he changed - which should be more than just the interface - I am not thrilled however that I have to restart from day 1.
You forget all the work he puts in to reduce the space on your hard drive and making various clothing and various poses possible by using layers instead of full images I think, it's a LOT more than 30 minutes per scene.Say 30 minutes per image or something depending on how much posing is involved and what sort of effects you're going for. There's really no way around that.
In one of the previous posts a couple of weeks was mentioned, at least that seems to be the plan.Does anyone have any idea when the update will be released? Thanks

Yeah it really depends on what you're trying to do, how many characters, how much posing is involved, how many lights, whether it's low light, whether you're going for some shadow effects, reflections, etc. When I was making my mod it almost always took me longer to set up the scene than it did to render it.You forget all the work he puts in to reduce the space on your hard drive and making various clothing and various poses possible by using layers instead of full images I think, it's a LOT more than 30 minutes per scene.
