The game may be having problems due to bugs in the Chinese version.
don't really understand the essence of your problem. can only offer such a solution.
Download the fix and SDK , and don't install the Chinese version.

So I'm curious, how is this in comparison to the original? I haven't played but reading through the changelog Eric seems as much of a pain in this than as the original, although apparently the most recent version allows the player to "deal" with him. So, how is it?
I think this is an improved version of the original, but it's still building up to the content of where the original left off. It adds a lot of nice features like actually being able to see what the spy cams see and a way to borrow money. In version 0.06 we're still not able to get rid of Eric but in 0.065, which is scheduled to come out on Monday, we should be able to get rid of him. If you're not a fan of NTR, I'd suggest waiting until 0.065 to play since there are some unavoidable Eric scenes but that will change in the new update.

Much more content with Kira so far compared to the all updates of the original game.
In BB after 0.4 we get some Kira action only in the porn movies and that was it.
Also the progress with Alice is much more believable.Not to mention how awesome are some scenes with her.
Lisa is also progressing nicely.
Only Ann so far is really behind.But even in the original there was not much with her before 0.6-0.7,and the real deal 0.13
NTR fans want to know whether this game focuses on ntr or harem, and what proportion of CG is in the direction of ntr

I still prefer to play the original version, although the original has a lot of grind. But first, let me explain for you to understand, because I will try to be straight to the point. Big Brother Another Story still doesn't have more content than the original as many think, there is still much, let's say Another Story has more Kira content than the original, but Alice, Lisa does not. The original had the history of Eric discontinued, since in this we do not know if it will also follow the same, because until now I have not seen any news about the content update of this character.
The gameplay of the original is a tiring grind, but at least things are going. In this Another Story, it's a boring grind, do Lisa's homework X times, do X times this, do X times that. OMFG I gave up playing because of that. The renderings, I thought the original better, but remember that this is just a taste, each one has its own. Just like the scenes from the original I thought it was better. In the original game, there are no SFX sounds, such as sexy moans, as well as there are no animations. Another Story you will find only one or two animations, without SFX sounds like sexy moans or something like that. Normal.
I will determine by % (example, just an assumption) the sex content that the original has:

As you can see, it’s little content, but I’m talking about the sex scene, because the game has a lot of voyeurism. If you are interested in playing the original, I would not recommend it. The gameplay will take hours, the game is fun but sometimes tiring. There is no bad grind like another story, of doing X things. Well, I don’t remember much, I know you need to help Lisa with her homework for example 7 times, and you also need to do it X times (very little), so that Lisa misses her homework and gets spanked up by Ann so she can "trust" you. As also happens with Alice, but the grind present in this game is due to RNG. Unfortunately the original is very incomplete, I say this because there will be scenes that you will think that there will be something more but you don't have (I had wasted a lot of time the first time I played). So, I recommend downloading the CG RIP of the original. If you have free time and want to try playing the original, go ahead. I like the original, unfortunately it is an incomplete game, and more incomplete for being abandoned.

I've already played the original years ago. Pretty sure I've seen all the content the original has as well. Based on what you and others have said it seems like this version focuses heavily on Kira, which is cool, but doesn't have much content elsewhere. I don't really mind a ren'py game with grind, if it's too bad I'll just cheat *shrugs* but I mainly was curious about how much... lets not call it faith, lets say stock, how much stock do people put in this dev actually finishing this game. This seems to be the longest lasting clone, do people expect it to grow into its own or just die like a good 90% of these games.
