This game reminds me a bit of someone rewriting a hentai incest doujin, but their dialogue doesn't quite match the scenes we're seeing. We're seeing a depth of expression in the renders that isn't matching what's in the writing.

I don't mind the existence of the blackmail angle in a game, and if fact it can be kind of fun. Sadly, it's Alice who is the only one to really use it effectively. If it's going to exist in the game, it should be Max that uses it, and much more effectively. But the game didn't really capitalize on any of that, because to do that would mean to actually make Max active versus passive. Also, to many of us, the game sent the vibe that there were or would be romantic angles with some of the characters, through the way the character's looked at Max, or bits of dialogue or actions. Even if there won't all of those hints there, the game desperately needs some element of positiveness to it to offset the darker tones of Alice's blackmail, Ann's tragic history, Eric's influence, and Max's ongoing general douchebaggery. For a game that with such bright and vibrant renders, it's a very dark and stagnant world.

Great points, your last sentence in particular sums up my current dissatisfaction.

Funnily enough, with the doujin rewrite example, I was thinking that some of the story disconnects could be a lost in translation issue. However; reading some of Dark Silver's replies in this thread have killed that hope for me. He seems squeamish about conflating affection with incest, based on comments like anal precluding romance with Lisa or Alice's recent development.

To clarify, I think the blackmail and darker plot elements have a place in these games. I would even prefer that this story had both dark and warm elements. This family seems to have gone back to being too damn cold and it's immersion-breaking for me.

After scenes like these , he can add little details like kissing and cuddling. It doesn't have to some big path. These things can make a difference

We've battled constantly for this but this is a fight we cannot win @DarkSilver no longer cares, the money is flowing that's what he cares about, even @a1fox3 is gone.

I've just been playing a fresh game for the first time since ~v0.6 or so. After so much time I'm really happy with how things have turned out. Is there some flaws? Sure, but overall I thought the pace has been good. As the game got on, I found things started to drag but I found I was very busy in the first 100+ days. The rendering is, if not the best I've seen, one of the best. @DarkSilver knows what s/he is doing when it comes to lighting. I'm guessing DS has some photography or film experience, even the backgrounds have some pop to them.
I don't think I'm going to upload each update as it comes out. I'll just let this one brew for a few months before enjoying this again. Thanks @DarkSilver !

the last DS posts here substantiate my suspicions, that he felt more or less forced to write the story in a way he doesn't like just to get approval from his patreons/community.
and that's how the game ended up like this, every kind of theme and kink sprinkled in and none really carefully developed.

i'm still curious how @DarkSilver wanted the story play out in the first place. but we will never know.

In my humble opinion, any compromises have been made. DarkSilver is following his game plan. He called his project : "Incest story of your life" Not "The family romance of your life". A few people expected romance with Lisa, Ann and they are disappointed.

Expectations... expectations everywhere....

Yeah, right, that’s what they want you to believe... But in reality, when you support 100 people with 1 dollar each, patreon still charges 100 times the transaction fee, but later makes only one cumulative debit booking to your credit card. Also the creators get only one cumulative payment per month. The other 99x "transaction fees" are pure profit for parteon. But I guess "transaction fee" sounds more than "greedy profit margin" - and obviously it works, since some people believe, the fees would be reasonable.;)

Well from his first posts before the release of 0.2 seems he wants the game to be more about voyeurism,exhibitionism and BDSM than incest despite the title-Incest story of your life.Seems he wants Max and players to watch what others do than be the force behind all things that will happen.

Hello, can someone help me? I’m trying to get the scene with Alice and spider which can get her naked but i can’t. The walkthrough told me to hide spider in her room after second photoshot with aunt, i got to that point and new options to get Alice naked still doesnt show up. I explored every scene with spider and Alice till 8.0, btw. How can i progress to get Alice naked?

Hi DarkSilver. I started playing BB like 2 month ago and i just wanted to start by tipping my hat to you and say that you created an awesome, unique game here :)

There will always be loads of demands for storyline changes and peoples personal requests. I think as the Developer this is completely up to you. Your story, your game, your rules. The one aspect i can share my input on is gameplay. And as i just finished V11 a serious problem is begining to become clear to me. You built the game on a time progression frame. Lets just refear to this as "TimeLine" And lately the timeline is getting seriously brooken. I will pick a random scene from BB to illustrate my point.

At 7am i get a BJ from Lisa. 10am i ask Kira to join us later for sex training. 20pm i do Lisa in the kitchen. 22pm i get another BJ from Lisa. 00am (I add a spider). 03am i talk to Kira and here she offers me kissing training, BJ or catshing a movie. She won't touch Max because she is affraid Ann will walk in even tho this is long after the porn films are done and Kira giving you a HJ infront of Ann. . I go to sleep and Kira comes back. Hej, screw me hard in the ass please and do Lisa as well.. But Poor Lisa can't handle taking it in the mouth and lets Kira do the honor.. (Yeah right, Lisa gives 6 BJ's a week and is most likely a Pro by now. Kira teels you to NOT train without her and leaves. If triggered i also do Alice and new day starts.

TimeLine..
This example i can count 6-10 things that break the timeline and makes no sense from the logical aspect of character behavior and development. To many things never stops from happening and thats why the early story makes no sense later. Maby just stop repeating things after a while. After having sex with Lisa in the kitchen 10 times Kira could just say her part is done and this would cap that part of the game. I loved the movies because they made sense on every aspect. You start a story, follow it through and reach the end. (Never to return) I don't mind some content beeing repeatable but most daily stuff could be weekly to avoid tedious gamplay. And capped storys that will never return adds to a feel of progression over all.

Thos are just my 2 cents in the argument. I wish you the best and fully understand you can't please everyone. Keep doing your thing and maby BB will become an underground adult videogame classic like Deep Throat the movie :)

Something I think is lacking in the current version is voyeurism where the person watching is not Max. There's a little bit, but it's something that could easily be added to (upgrade) existing repeatable scenes.

IMO, after Alice finds out about Lisa's Sex Ed classes she should start catching them in the act, whether it's the actual sex ed classes or any of their other scenes (bathroom, lounge, etc). Same when Lisa peeps on Alice and Max with the webcams, after that she should start catching them in the act more often (both in her room as well as on the couch). The scenes with Alice on the couch where Mom catches them and it's hinted that she might be watching should definitely be expanded to actually SHOW her watching. And since Kira knows about all of it she could easily catch any or all of them in the act almost from the beginning.

This could just stop at voyeurism or it could be multiple stages where they eventually join in the fun.

The only thing i would like would be the ability to replay the movies they made. Perhaps he finally gets a usb drive from Kira with the movies on it, and he can replay them on his pc, or play them on the big screen with or without company. It would be great if he could watch them with Lisa.
