Having done this like 5 times now i'm confiden't i figured out the trigger for overhearing Eric talking to his (GF/Wife/Lover) that you need to progress in the Wallet route to get rid of him.
Step 1. Talk to Kira, Can you help me slow down Eric. Step 2. Buy the Anti-potency Pills. Wait till Monday.
Step 3. Talk to Alice at 18:00pm to make her mix the pills in the food. (Cost 60$) Have dinner and and move over to moms room right away.. BINGO! At 20:00pm like clockwork you overhear Eric on the phone

But doing it like i suggest is not RNG. Works everytime. I just though i add the info as this actually stopped me from getting past that part a few times in the past. So it's optional ofc but you won't have to wait for the RNG crap to kick in
1. just 2 maybe 3 more times with Olivia and your done with that part of the update.1. I play Lisa GF path, before if you choose Olivia or both GF's there was problem i mean we couldn't finish all quests or at least see all options in game so the best choice was Lisa Gf path. Now since i started to help Olivia with homework Tuesday-Friday 17:00 PM they started romantic talks and its Max GF now, no that there was choice, will be problem like before or DarkSilver fixed that.
2.What's the other options with Ann in this version:
a) Can Max watch Ann in studio like Kira Promised
b) Kira said or give i think disk to Max and said to watch when alone no available yet though how to do that?
c) Max had conversation with Ann also been worried about her health and offered to help her release her Stress
