I'm happy for this update.
I'm not one of the devs man, just a supporter for a while. I wish I could learn animation and be involved. And same, hoping for a build with decent content soon because life's been pretty precarious lately, at least for me, and would like to enjoy about the one thing I've invested not just money and time into, but also pretty much the one thing I have to look forward to.I'm happy for this update.
I know game development is not a joke. Even tho I have seen some who released jokes as releases.
Still, it would be even better to get an update like this (screenshots or any interesting news) every 4-6weeks.
And a released playableupdate.. every 6-12months
Hoping for a playable release before GTA6..
Keep up the good work!!![]()
get the latest version, see the level (last, if i recall)... and enjoy the others for what it's worth. It's been a while since I played, but I don't remember there being any females in the arena. I stopped after maxing several guns
The Arena is always been literally a game mechanics demo so it was expected for it to keep only adding precisely what you are complaining about.Instead of improving a simple game with things like animations, clothing, and enemy variety, they haven’t added any innovations for nearly 5 years, and for the past 2 years they've been claiming to be working on the full version. Unfortunately, they wasted a game that had potential.
I doubt they are willing to release the Unreal Engine 5 version of the Arena, simply because it's more work and would further postpone the next version of the game.I think he's just expressing frustration that the devs make more claims about what's going on than we get to really see, let alone play with. So, we want to support them doing cool things, but just waiting a long time on a "trust me, bro, it's going to be awesome" instead of getting interactive results is honestly really hard for anyone to deal with, even if it's from a generally trusted developer/team.
And I again stand by my statement that they should release a new version of Arena ASAP, so we can test out the UE5 version of things and help them iron out bugs and such before they fully commit to the full game.
Does anyone remember if they said what the intended release strategy was for the full game? Like, a level at a time or something?
THANKS <:Hello everyone!
Time for a new report.
Progress has been slow on my end as you can see… not my fault though… well, yes and no. I mean it’s my fault for believing in what people says about UE5 but it’s not my fault how UE5 behaves when I try to make the stuff people and Epic says it’s perfectly done in UE5.
More specific: one of the reasons I took the decision to make the characters the way they are (including remaking Julia) was because I didn’t have to care about the animations since UE5 include the all-mighty IK Retargeter. This feature allows one to perfectly retarget all the animations one wants between different skeletons… or so they say.
I could have hundreds of examples to show, since NOT A SINGLE animation was properly retargeted from the old Julia, but I just didn’t want to talk about this in a report, because it’s not any good news… but since it’s been weeks since my last report and now that I’m almost finished fixing this mess, I decided to write you about this and not without a proof. You can see in the video the difference between the UE5 retargeting and the one I have to manually make externally. [Looks like youtube is fuck*ng with the age restriction forcing it even if it's turned off and the video is censored. if you want to see the video, take a look at the attachment]
So that’s what I’ve been doing, manually retargeting more than 150 animations (yeah, I don’t know how Julia had so many animations already lol).
I feel like I’ve been lied, and this lie costed me weeks of work I should have spent progressing in the game, making new animations (like the ones you’re all waiting for), etc. and not retargeting the animations from the old Julia to the new, one by one…
But oh well, what’s done it’s done and not everything is bad, since thanks to this I fixed some small problems here and there and also made some improvements in code as well as making some new animations for that one system that wasn’t added into the Arena (something to do with that bar that filled up with no effect) … At least some good news!
And now, it’s time to get back to work!
Much love everyone
Until next time with only good news (I hope ).
Do you have the video he mentions by any chance please?.Hello everyone!

there are 36 animations in totalHaven't played this in a long while but is there a way to get different animations, I run around and keep getting the same ones then i try to struggle a little and get a different one. Is it just random depending on what way your facing or is there a way get more then the basic ones?
