Doesn't UE5 have a highly intelligent auto-LOD generation system? Isn't that a feature they were proud of? (I'm not talking about Nanite) I'm really curious why they needed to go through all that work. Maybe if he said they tried UE5's built in tools and it fucked up their process (like with the animations, earlier this year), then that would make sense.
Also, the animation shows off tons of emotions but not horny?? Maybe they're not going with my system, after all. Sadface cry emoji.

Part of it was the camera angle. When they showed the wide shots from the 3/4 view, she looked like how she does in the older version of the game. Front-on, she looked a little monkey-ish with wide back of the skull and big ears with a small face. But, yeah, the morphs look fucking amazing...just wish the base face was better. Maybe the other characters will be an answer to that.

Hmm. I'm actually not really sure how I feel about it. I mean, you're not wrong, it's a bit uncanny. That's not necessarily bad though, it's all still pixels on your screen. It has the potential to be hot as hell, but we're just going to have to wait to see the game in action. I think it'll definitely shit on the arena in comparison, especially when the game really starts getting meat on its bones.

Thinking about that actually, I wouldn't mind if they kept updating and adding stuff to the game even after they finalize the story or whatever... you know, stuff like new clothes or other unlockables and shit. I know the argument could be made that they're milking the game as it is, but they have the potential to keep supporters funding the game for a long time if they're willing to keep the game afloat.

The other thing I was meaning to mention is that, the rigging/animation specifics, the uncanny-ness of it; I'm pretty sure that's also one of the main features of UE5. The metahuman stuff or whatever. They haven't mentioned or confirmed whether they're explicitly utilizing it or not, but I'm pretty positive the nuances of it are just a lot more robust than UE4 rigging, and I don't think it's costing them a whole lot of extra time and work much on their part as much as it might seem.

I also have to say, it's really impressive for not actually being professionally mo-capped.

Speaking on the Update:

On the one hand, Julia's face in motion looks pretty cute but a bit... uncanny.

And I'm not quite sure why.
I don't think it's because of the "realism" of the textures or motion,
moreso the weird frontal light that makes her sometimes look like she's got no chin.
That and the video accents her large ears and weirdly petite mouth in every expression, no attempts at wide smiles to make the dimples and smile lines feel more natural and aligned to how her facial muscles are moving.

It's these kinda Zoolander-ass "smol mouth" expressions with this particular lighting that consistently handicap the feeling of a "cuter and younger in the face" Julia and reminds me more of a bootleg (Original) Ashley Graham model stuffed into a Jill outfit.
(**COUGH** BIG EARS, TINY FACE **COUGH**)

That and I was really disappointed to not see the faces that really matter represented:
The "Oh~" "Ah~" and "Fuckfuckfuck I'm cumming~" faces.
If you're gonna lean into a "cuter, face-fuckable" Julia, probably be a good idea to tease that more for yer porn game when showing her new model off for the first time.
(I know they said it was done on a crunch time to have something to show off for the 28th but... maybe they could've just... y'know... NOT done that, and instead delayed the video until they had a full suite of expressions, SFW and Lewd, to show off, and different lighting conditions. Y'know, to give a player the sense of what Julia will look like in a proper level)


With the focus on emotions and such for her, and not featuring much hentai teases from her facial expressions, idk if there's gonna be an excessive amount of time spent on cutscenes.
Cuz iirc she didn't really talk much or emote beyond getting fucked or attacked in the Arena mode, nor was there any sorta dynamic expression system where,
say,
if the fatty was charging or a cerberus/dog lunging to plap her ass raw and fast,
she wouldn't react in fear/panic as she kinda should.
And if they ARE in the game, kinda goes to show how forgettable the expressions overall were compared to her teeth-gritting "enduring the fuck" face while getting her ass blasted by zombie dick.
The video doesn't leave me optimistic that they'll put this tech to any good use while actually in-game, controlling Julia... which is honestly where this would and should be used most of all.

Given how long they spent on importing stuff so it works on UE5 and are still working on enemies and the like, with no big teases to NEW enemies and Sex-Attacks that weren't already in Arena (see: more variations of the basic zombie types - muscle, avg., skinny)
Me thinks this game won't be done until YEARS from now, given the pace and manpower of development.
Possibly long after anyone cares and another dev that works faster and more focused on the project at hand delivers on a similar promise. Who that is? IDK. But as with anything, time will tell.

Video doesn't help me get excited. If anything, it makes it worse. Cuz it shows that they're rushing when they should be taking their time, and dragging their feet when they should be putting more gas.

I do hope I'm wrong though.

Cuz seeing Julia getting dicked by a zombie and shooting the gun at their heads was pretty fun.

Just a random exploit if you just want to watch Jill / Julia get fucked by the regular zombies or dogs.

Mission 10 in the current version of v1.0.241 R3 is the endless sandbox mode used to farm money for weapon upgrades, with 2 full heal spray canisters, 2 green herb, and 1 red herb laying around. So you have about 3.25 healthbars worth of healing laying around if mess up. Also 3-4 cure infections plants all around the map to remove the cum bloat effect.

There are only 3 fat zombies that will hunt you across the map and instantly respawn after you kill them. One is a naked green one, one that wears a black t shirt, and 1 that wears a black tang top.

These guys will ruin your day cause 1 hit from them does 50% of your health when fully clothed / armored. And will insta kill you if you're naked. Also mission fails if you let them fuck you by failing the quick time event.

Trick is to let one of the regular zombies walk up to you from behind and let them grab you. That way you're instantly stripped without losing any health. Cause when you're fully clothed some enemies can't perform sex attacks on you and will only do normal attacks on you until naked.

After that lure the fat zombies into one of the narrow hallways so their back is against the wall. Then walk right next to them and face the fat zombies so that when they attack you, they will grab Jill / Julia from the front. When doing the escape quick time event Jilla / Julia will do a kick animation that will knock the fat zombie back, which clips them through the wall. Since they don't fall to their deaths, and just float there, they won't respawn.

Now you can just go around naked and get fucked to your heart's content without worrying about the fat zombies constantly grabbing you and insta killing you.

Also tip for regular zombies. You want to lure one of them into an isolate area with the cure infection plant, and stand about 1-2 body lengths away. They are more likely to grapple you if you are far away. Cause if you're too close they will just perform normal attacks on you. You can tell when they will perform a normal attack on you if the F dodge indicator pops up during their swinging animation, if there is no dodge indicator then they will grab you.

Similar thing with the dogs, you need to be at minimum like 50%-75% of the dog's jump distance so that it will grab, otherwise if you're too close it will just do damage a lot of times. Though there is no dodge indicator for the dogs.

The exploit doesn't work in previous versions like v0.9.271 because in that version if I recall correctly there was no limit to how many fatties could spawn, and they just spawned over time. Cause I had like 5-6 of the chance me at one point when I ran out of shotgun shells the game's RNG wouldn't decided not to drop anymore.

No thanks, rather not have to use cheat engine. Also doesn't change the fact that those fat fucks will chase you around and endlessly grapple you. Easier to just glitch them through the wall at the start of session.

in the sandbox/challenge levels? no. it's a guaranteed game over.
in the regular missions? yes. just a normal grab there.
