Revenge porn then.Everyone in the game is 18 years or older. The high school events all happen in their senior year when they are all already 18.

Of course it's genuine because she doesn't think her and her friends have done any wrong and the MC is being harsh.her reactions of crying and running off seems genuine.
which is why I'm against the idea of reconciliation. all it would do is to alleviate her own guilt and let her seem like the one who tried to mend bridges. in their first interaction at the college, she just gaslights MC and says he needs to get over like it didn't cause him traumaOf course it's genuine because she doesn't think her and her friends have done any wrong and the MC is being harsh.
In her mind she's extending the olive branch to reconnect to someone she saw as a brother and completely ignoring the fact she spent years shitting all over him and carried on doing so in that conversation.
Not once did she ask if he was okay or show any sign of compassion. All she is interested in is proving her friends have done no wrong, not helping the MC.
Maybe you're right, and I'm giving Annie too much of the benefit of the doubt, but we shall see. I'm prepared to send her packing if she even breathes in a wrong way.Of course it's genuine because she doesn't think her and her friends have done any wrong and the MC is being harsh.

This is the third time I've seen gaslighting used in a few minutes.. wtf does gaslighting mean?which is why I'm against the idea of reconciliation. all it would do is to alleviate her own guilt and let her seem like the one who tried to mend bridges. in their first interaction at the college, she just gaslights MC and says he needs to get over like it didn't cause him trauma
Gaslighting is basically psychological manipulation. This is the third time I've seen gaslighting used in a few minutes.. wtf does gaslighting mean?
the downside of peer pressure and the need to feel a part of something.. no matter how bad it may be to othersIt's kind of unbelievable at how obtuse Annie is about the bullying problem. The 'Bitch Squad' were the only ones who had those naked photos, so who on earth does she think actually distributed them? She also saw the squad (and their boyfriends) laughing and jeering at the MC, yet she still has the gall to say "oh yeah, they never really though of you that much." Like... obviously that's not true in the slightest.
Come back to reality, Annie.
Either Annie is lying outright (which I doubt), she just can't see it (which is possible), the other Bitches don't speak about it in front of her (which is reasonable) or, as Tommy himself points out, some of the Bitches and their operatives are operating independently to engage in behavior they assume the Squad/Katie would approve of. I lean in the direction of that latter possibility. Emma and Charlotte are directly bullying and pushing others to bully and Katie, Sarah and Annie have various degrees of understanding that this is going on and either accept it as some sort of cost of doing business or think it is possibly a good thing in some way. It's kind of unbelievable at how obtuse Annie is about the bullying problem. Origin of the term comes from 1944 film Gaslight, where husband is trying to convince his wife that she is mentally unwell in order to steal from her. The trick he uses is to make gaslighting in the house flicker whenever he leaves her alone. This is the third time I've seen gaslighting used in a few minutes.. wtf does gaslighting mean?
I didn't know that was the origin. makes more sense now, it always seemed like such a random phrase!Origin of the term comes from 1944 film Gaslight, where husband is trying to convince his wife that she is mentally unwell in order to steal from her. Definition for the word from wiki: According to the American Psychological Association, it "once referred to manipulation so extreme as to induce mental illness or to justify commitment of the gaslighted person to a psychiatric institution but is now used more generally".[1] The term is now defined in Merriam-Webster as "to make someone question their reality".[2]
awhile back there was another game by the same name but it has long since been abandoned. whereas this developer seems to be invested in updating the game and giving us a finished productThe title of the game look familiare But well, this it's just Male Portagonist.
While the '44 movie is considered to be the origin, the term is not used on the movie itself. Also the '44 movie is remake of less known '40 film of same name iirc, which itself is made based on older story set in the Victorian era iirc. There's also one episode of either Outer Limits or Tales From The Crypt, can't remember which, that uses similar plot, but in it the husband uses cd-player/stereo to play haunting noises to drive his wife mad.I didn't know that was the origin. makes more sense now, it always seemed like such a random phrase!
Invisible man has the same theme hasn't it?While the '44 movie is considered to be the origin, the term is not used on the movie itself. Only the new film has a similar theme. The earlier films and the original novel are more about the Invisible Man being corrupted by his powers (or even driven insane through the chemicals in his formula) and planning stuff like world domination (he actually plans that in the original 1930s version, by stealing secrets and starting a reign of terror, basically), murder, rape etc..Invisible man has the same theme, hasn't it?
I hate it when that happens. You spend good money on your wraps, and then you get a bad one. Makes me want to take revenge on the restaurant serving it.The MC gets a bad wrap sometimes on this thread, but EP1 was his low point.
