Closest game I know is American Mcgee Alice and the Mary Skelter games. I recommend starting with 2 cause it also has 1 in it. That deals with Grimm fairy tales and insanity.

Bloodborne-esque spin-off with Red Riding Hood, but it's less of a JRPG and more like a stealth game
Toro's working on Dead Red Hood, a game about Red Hood taking place between BS1 and BS2. I read he also wants to make a game about the four BS1 princesses. He's been radio silent for a while now.

Don't know hot to feel about it honestly that this game got on steam.
I fear with more popularity the wrong people get wind of this game and might influence the development of black souls 3 down the line.
I mean Black Souls 1 and 2 are full packed with themes the modern snowflakes don't want to see and might pressure the dev to alter his work. The dev is mentally not the strongest from what I heard so this might affect him big time.
It's been years since the dev is working on his red riding hood spin off and I doubt any work has been done on black souls 3 so I guess that I won't see the third entry during my lifetime anyway

yeah, hopefully the dev wont be doxxed and forced to leave the internet similarly to the tcoall dev, though considering what got that dude doxxed amounted to one of the scenes on an alternative path hinting at a possibility of a quite mild taboo subject (incest), the moment black souls gets any attention, considering the shit it contains, it could actually get to that point or even worse rather easily.

Genuinely one best series of games ever played. Haven played so many rpgmaker games its not even fun BS and 2 especially plays into it very well. Plot is also nice and characters are great. Im seriously hyped if 3 ever gets made and hope for it someday!
