Tha might be because you have the 18+ filter on. I either use it on chrome or in the app, but you have to turn off the filter in the browser first or else the app will be sfw only.

The filter is not on Brave itself but on yodayo under options.

please treat me like a retard and tell me where are these options (with pic and biiig red arrow i'm on browser) i only have settings and it allows me only to deactivate my account ;___;

i figured it out
for those as autistic as me you have to:
(on browser) click on menu in top right corner then click your name
then click on "Edit Profile"
scroll to bottom and uncheck/ check sliders
click on "Update"
