BorB - Dev Update #4
Hello everyone, sorry for no updates in a while.
I’ve made some major changes to the game over the last few days. I realized that if I am going to continue to develop this game, I will have to change it from a linear visual novel into a harem sandbox type of game.
Right now adding new content throws off the flow of the game because it’s a linear story, and I had to spend a lot of time fixing my code when I added new content. If I wanted to add a specific scene for a character this caused the player to start over from the beginning. So to have old saves work when I add new content I had to refactor most of the code in Python. This will be better as I can spend more time creating new content instead of trying to fix my spaghetti code.
Also some people mentioned that they wanted to be Sub with some characters and Dom with others. A harem type game would be better for this reason, you can choose which characters you want to advance the story with, and it would make adding new content easier and faster.
I’ve added a Phone to the GUI so that you can access all of your stats, inventory, character relation info, images and videos, achievement, and receive calls from other characters. I’ll post a video on my discord to show how the phone works soon.
I’ve added approximately 12,000 words for your ’roommates’ and girlfriend on the sub route, and your antagonist’s sisters and girlfriend on the dom route. I may add some more if I have time.
You may have noticed that I changed my name. I had to change the name of the Patreon page from ‘Kinx Mann’ to ‘Pallidus Nox’(it means 'Pale Night' in Latin). I did this for two reasons, 1. Apparently there’s a guy in Germany with the same name and I don’t want to get sued. 2. I don’t want to explain the name ‘Kinx Mann’ to my accountant or anyone else who happens to see the name. So I figure Pallidus Nox is a more benign name that won’t raise suspicion.
Next update will be in January as I took some time off for the holiday season, and I usually slow down and reassess my life during the winter anyway. I’ll try to get it released as soon as possible.

I'm going to try and have version 0.3 finished by the end of January, but I can make no promises.
I had to refactor the entire code of the game by adding a lot of Python code to make the game into a harem style game instead of a linear visual novel. This took a while and was harder than I thought.
You should check out my discord to get the most up to date info about the development.
I've probably said it before but I still really like that you're doing a DAZ version and I will support once that releases. I try to get into realporn games but the spliced scenes with the different male actors and sometimes widly different actress looks just really take me out of it. I prefer the consistency of Daz, hope you try to make the 3d models look like the actresses you chose though.

I like 3dcg games too, but I have to admit that someone doing a real porn game (who presumably has no experience with 3d) saying that they will learn Daz and use it instead is a red flag.

Gotta say I agree. No problem with it being avoidable but it's a turn-off personally, and every game of this genre I've run into has it unavoidably. It'd be nice to not have it (at least directly in the main plot) in a game or two. I was really excited for the female path, then I heard it was lezdom, which isn't a turnoff for me personally but it's like eating sugar-free stuff. It's just not quite as good. This game has all the individual parts I'm looking for, but it's like they're magnetically opposed to each other and just won't come together in the same place or time.
from what ive read in the discord, it will be coming very late in development and will only be side stuff. so it should be completely avoidable.
