I wouldn't call it "dead," but rather "on hold until better times." The source of this visual novel has already been mentioned twice in this thread. I have no problem with that, but it's just spoiling the story, and I don't think that helps.

Yes, I lost a fair bit of interest after reading the story, which wasn't that long either.

It's a shame there wasn't another sequel to the game. It would have covered the first part of the story, which would have been (almost) enough.
Now we have only a regret for a good game who died to soon...
