whats a good way to remake skin when transferring daz characters to blender?

depends on the skin used in Daz, but if you ever have skin looking weird in Blender, it's probably the subsurface scattering that needs tweaking.
note that i'm a noob and might be talking out of my ass, but SSS always does the trick for me.
