It seems nearly unbeatable without using some of the skills and with keyboard and mouse using the skills is not really an option.

The keyboard is configurable in the options. If your issue with the game is the keyboard layout, that's something that's totally within your power to fix.
Yeah, unless this is your first beat em up then it shouldn't be giving you -that- much trouble. It -is- challenging, but the default setup has some sense. Changing elevation is a much more reliable dodge than jumping.
Kinda hard to actually fight a boss that attacks and stunlocks you as soon as you enter her lane (I'm talking about the nurse, even on easy, she does not play fair at all.) The slimegirl can be easily stunlocked, but that samurai is a pain. He's probably beatable, but it's not worth it.
