Well, none of the saves past the fight scenes loaded, but luckily, so far, the fight scenes are not too hard, so was able to do them pretty fast. Can't wait to get to know that redhead even more, and have her help level the MC up, if you know what I mean.

Yeah, you know me, redheads go to the front of the class. Definitely agree about Almira. I'm hoping she'll be the first of many round bellied LI's. Gotta disagree about Astrid, I loved the tiny smile when I defended her against the queen. Speaking of the queen, she's looking suspiciously like a villain early on...Right? I think the ones bitching are just repeatedly attacking with no attempt at defense whatsoever.
That aside, it was a nice update. Looking forward to fun times with Cora. And the elf handmaidens. And the elf queen. And uh...well, all the elves really. Although maybe not Astrid.
I'm also still holding out hope Almira survived the raid. If only because she seems to have a pregnancy counter variable, her own gallery page, and I'm pretty sure I spotted her in the background during the city walk with Cora.
Yeah, good combat strategy games can be entertaining when done well. Thanks for the link, I'll give it a try. I can't agree with the "cheap trash" comment. Most AVN's that include a gaming element still place the emphasis on the story, like this one. Simple "stop and think" strategy, matching or poker games can be entertaining and not too much of a distraction from the story for me. I hate the little timed point and click stuff and avoid it like the plague unless the story is very compelling. Those are practically non-existent. Heh.
I agree. I thought it added realism. She has spent hundreds of years fighting with a sword. One would assume a few nicks here and there. For those who don't like it... Maybe MC's healing can be transmitted via his sperm and, once they start bumpin' uglies, the scars will miraculously vanish!I was genuinely surprised to see the battle scars and age marks. It seems as though one of you has industry experience with 3D modeling
All in all, I thought the update was fantastic. We're just far enough into the story to know that there actually is one! Heh. That may sound like a left handed compliment but, too many times, a new AVN never gets beyond that "nice start" point. I'm glad to see a jump in interest after this update. It's well deserved, I think.

I'm not into prostitutes at all (especially ones who confirmed that they got an std from your mentor) so I rejected her.
The combat system isn't special, but it doesn't suck which makes it special by avn standards. Lol. Parrying is key to the combat. I had forgotten that so it was frustrating at first but once you figure that out it's fine.

Not the first time this happens either. In the 1st update the town whore was hotter than the childhood friend.

I thought you had better taste, Ragnar. The queen is an entitled, elitist bitch. No amount of "hotness" can compensate for her lack of grace. You are right about the sorcerer, though, so I guess batting .500 isn't bad. If this were really baseball that would get you in the Hall of Fame. But, the queen... Ah, see I didn't defend her, I offered an alternative solution, which got shut down after the MC mumbled 3 words, so I never saw the smile. I mean, there's nothing wrong with her face, but the body...eh. It's realistic. She has clearly been through some shit which you'd expect for a, I assume, several hundred year-old warrior in a swords and magic type setting. But it's not for me.
And as for the queen, yeah. She's obviously up to something shady and we seem to have caught her during that time of the month too, which is why I decided to try and play peacemaker with the alternative solution instead of speaking up to defend Astrid. I didn't need her going all Queen of Hearts on me until I'm in a position to bitch-slap some sense into her.
