I do enjoy a nice fantasy romp. So far the worldbuilding seems alright, I'm curious why that queen's being so obstinate, general noble wankery aside. Renders and women and whatnot were all solid. The elves were hot from the lowliest whore to the high and mighty queen... the general lady might not have been quite as much of a looker but she easily wins back all them points with the cool scars. I really wanna see that queen get taken to pound town and not in a nice way. Thomas was a fool to not marry the hooker given she seemed up for it. It's quite short so hard to judge but I definitely want to see more of it.
However, combat is input reading lameness. You can say parry and the npc decides to just rest - making it a waste of that ability... thanks to the magic of rollback you can go back and repeat this same action 20 times, there'll be no change - it's not random it's like that's the enemies set action for this round... so okay well then you might as well rest too, nope now they'll attack. So the enemy's actions aren't set, aren't random, but do whatever the worst thing they can do knowing what your actions are. It's like trying to play rock, paper, scissors but you've gotta show your opponent your choice before they make theirs. Thankfully it's all easy enough atm that it doesn't matter... but if you're gonna make combat atrocious like that then there's no point putting it in the game to begin with. Note: the solution isn't to hide that it's poop by disabling rollback, as I fear that'd be a solution someone jumps to. At least there's an auto-battle function, but that doesn't skip the fights and if that can manage to succeed with just cycling through the abilities then it kinda shows that there's nothing really interesting going on with combat.
Oh props for the dark elf lady on the banner... I'm even more a fan of them than the regular lot and I appreciate when they're ashen skinned rather than just like brown or something. Hopefully there'll be some nice demon or monster ladies to romance too... might as well sow your dragony oats with as much variety as possible.
