I'm trying to play through chapter 1 since apparently it's after that that the paths diverge, but goddamn it's a lot of tedious voyeurism with no clear purpose. And all of it marked as "main quests" so apparently mandatory for progression, although nothing seems to progress anywhere.

I only play for the femdom path so you are totally mistaken.
(at the top of the site you can read who prefers wich path of the game... it seems quite balanced. Not sure how the statistics are on discord though.)
maybe the dev should just remove the whole male dom path if its such a problem to have both paths

I never got to that point and I'm 3-4 in game weeks.Did you actually play the game?
After a short intro the game splits in 3 paths :
Play in story mode and keep advancing the main quest. It happens around chapter 2 I believe.

Good thing I uploaded saves, don't have to go threw the start crap. Good thing the cheat still works for the forest diagram.

After trying it still feels overpriced. Writing is terrible, sex scenes in dungeon lack any soul, and first half of the game is unbarebly slow even in "story" mode. Not to mention that main MC motivation is that he was forced to eat shit and hit in the balls by random girl. That's so stupid.
It's also amusing how dev tried "immersive" writing for narrator where he brings useless things out of his ass like a student writing an essay or cheap female romace novel author.
