Note: Never hit a game over. Just bad dreams, panic attacks, and the general notion that my character was going batshit craycray.

As a player I can't see the Stability score for my character.
I can do F12 and SugarCube.State.variables. to check values.
SugarCube.State.variables.mindBreak = 1
SugarCube.State.variables.mindCorruption = 0
and so on. See attached for saves for that character.
Chipping in here, but you actually can.

Hold Escape for a second or two and the cheat menu should pop up, you can do a bunch of stuff in there but, more importantly for your intentions, you can view (and alter) her current stats.

Well yeah, relationship wise it wouldn't matter much since you can already choose whether Claire likes boys or girls (or both) and a number of outfits are already pretty unisex, so... why not? Aside from trying to finagle her way through PE class only her relationship, Taylor (regardless of gender) and her parents would know, and when the spy stuff starts she could still be required to act her gender and wear dresses because the missions might require it of her (then again, if she picks the bartending route...).

It would be restricted to smaller breast sizes for obvious reasons (no amount of chest bindings is going to hide an E-cup) but personal preferences aside bigger cup sizes tend to have an easier time seducing people, or getting attention dancing in the Club, so... it kind of evens out i believe. Not to mention it would be optional to begin with.

But like i said, spur of the moment suggestion when i saw A-cup mentioned.
I mean, that would be a whole new Prologue path. It would require *quite* the implementation, but there's interesting ideas here for covert activities. Noted. Thanks!

When she hit the HOMEBASE the first time the game said she could make 17 bad decisions before reaching a bad ending.
She met a guy at the Club and had consensual sex (which she initiated and wanted) with a guy back at his hotel, and then she started having panic attacks and waking up at night with cold sweats and exhibiting signs that she was severely unstable and going batshit crazy.
It actually said a number?

Who was the guy she hooked up with at the Club? Callum? The Chinese guy?

I don't know if her crazy dreams and shit after that were the result of THAT choice or her prior experiences or if they were making things worse.

Anyway, here was my thinking with her upbringing / backstory.
  • Okay, so first strike, I think I made her dad be a distant asshole. That was my bad. Probably didn't help anything.
  • Then I had her get into a gang - which made sense from my thought process. She dealt drugs, got used to firearms, fucked the gang leader and made him fall in love with her, struck a deal with the rival gang that didn't involve her body, etc. She got street smart, street cred, and prepared for the sort of underworld characters she'd be dealing with in the main game.
  • When she got to high school she buckled down and busted her ass. She graduated early and decided to take a gap year.
  • She spent her gap year backpacking around Europe and doing things that would be useful for her legend/experience/etc
  • Then she went to an Ivy League College. She didn't bother with sororities or frats and just focused on the academics and the gym. I think she did some sport, but I'm not sure.
  • Somehow she fucked an INSANE amount of people. Like 75 or 150 or something. I had no say in that, but it seemed like a good thing. Like, when she would fuck someone in the main game he would just be like 1% of her total count.
  • Somehow she picked up an INSANE amount of traits and kinks. I had little say in that, but it seemed like a good thing. She'd be able to enjoy herself in a lot of different situations.
So, yeah, that.
I'll need to go back into the bodycount math -- clearly something is wrong here.

I didn't try to make her a complete fuckslut, but I did try to create a character that was prepared to handle the situations she'd have to deal with in this game.

Don't get me wrong. I've made complete fucksluts in this game before that hit the "Do you want to quit now or cheat to have your character's stability brought up to the minimum" in the past. I've made a lot of other characters in the past, some virginal, some debased.

But the Claire Campbell in the attached saves was a legit attempt at a more-or-less optimal build for an espionage operative.
Feel free to poke around as much as you like with the back end details.

note: It is perfectly okay if my thought process is completely different from your thought process. It is YOUR game. I'm supposed to learn & adapt to your thought process during YOUR game. Maybe I'm just not picking up on enough hints of how to learn & adapt to your thought process.
Thank you! No, honestly I appreciate this sincerely.

My goal is for the game to be a balance where there's, call it, three different experiences:
1. Virginal Claire who has to deal with corruption and giving up of herself to accomplish the mission. Crux: Strong internal compass and stability, but low abilities so has a tough time making forward momentum.
2. Slut Claire who has to skirt the dark demons inside her to not be eaten up. Crux: Low stability, high stats. Has to resist the 'easy' path to try and focus on actual accomplishments rather than just give of herself and be swallowed up by the sexual underworld.
3. Normal Claire that rides between the two. Crux: Might hit situations where her abilities aren't enough, might hit situations where she risks succumbing to the underworld.

That does bring up another question about these saves.
I swear at some point the game told me that she was well endowed or extremely well endowed or some other way indicated that she had massive breasts... yet:
Measurements: 34A-26-35

note: Not sure if I misunderstood, misinterpreted, misremembered, or if it was a bug/glitch.
Weird...I wonder if that's one of the more recent bugs that I think we addressed in the last 0.8.3. I'm thinking it must be.

All in all, your post is really good food for thought.
I might need to go back in and change the color/flavor of some of the freakouts.
I need to go into the bodycount math and refine it.

It's a work in progress and I'm glad you're enjoying it and giving the feedback, it's integral to make a good game!

[...]
Is it not supposed to say a number? It was this section of the code:

Your <<print $CC.name>> can only endure a certain number of Corruptions before breaking, and at the beginning of her adventure, we'll be nice and let you know that it is <<print $Stats.Traits['Confident'].value>>.

Which would print the equivalent of:
SugarCube.State.variables.Stats.Traits.Confident.value

1733432104090.png
Callum was her 81st fuck after selecting:
Shit. I hated being hornier than guys. Fine. We could fuck.

Release Day + Poll Results

0.8.4 for Handlers+
0.8.3 for Dossier

--------------- A surprising little factoid - our poll was exactly 69 (nice) % / 31% on both platforms. We will be creating upper-body assets to match the new-to-be-added cup-size for Claire. We'll be posting a poll with two options in the coming week. ------------

0.8.4
  • The Gymnast arc has been expanded and improved -- It's hard to be one. Can she make it?
  • Improvements to speech bubbles, dossier, and Pop-up notification UI!
  • 'Bodycount' math has been readdressed. Numbers were occasionally broken and often unreasonably high.
  • The Tattoo parlor has been fixed in University.
  • A trait 'bonus' has been added to the Finishing School gap year for those that take all the options. Big downside, some upside!
  • Skills and traits are now capped in the Prologue. Hitting the cap will add 'xp' to the Act I bank, but won't increase stats during the character creation. (They were too high and variable)
  • Claire can now get breast augmentations if she wants at the end of High School. (There didn't seem to be a right timing for post-Gap Year or College, so we've left it as one opportunity).
  • Drumroll: The opening of the Prologue has been massively restructured. Claire's appearance is fully in your hands. The opening has been simplified and hopefully clarified.
  • This is a first step before implementing an 'RPG'-intro for those who don't want to move through the Prologue but also don't want to 'Quick-Start'. There will be three ways to 'build your Claire'.
What's up for 0.8.5?
  • Enhancing and Expanding the Backpacking Gap Year Arc.
  • Enhancing and Expanding High School dating.
  • A new breast size for Claire.
  • A tattoo parlor (and soon to be added piercing kiosk!) in Act I. This precedes us adding more of those assets to the game!
  • Enhancing and Expanding the 'family' aspect of the Prologue to give more character and specificity.

I really hope the devs can squash all the current bugs because they suck out all the fun and immersion from the game. Imagine highlighting expanded relationship content (v0.8.2.1) only for it to be buggy and inconsistent.

The outstanding bug list is smaller than it has ever been.
If you think there are bugs sucking out the fun and immersion from the game, please continue to call them out so we can get them cleaned up.

We are not pristine and will never lie and say we are.
But I can guarantee you we are trying our best and will continue to do so.
Thanks.

The only bugs I experienced were the body count (plenty of people have reported it) and the inconsistency of the relationship with the best friend.

Hey guys, so I tried to play as a faithful Claire all the way, yet somehow Taylor (the best friend) still broke up with her. Is this part always happen no matter what you do or something?

View attachment 4285407

What's weird is, Claire and Taylor still act like they're together after the Career Fair scene, like this

View attachment 4285423

Is this another bug?
I might find another, but I quit in frustration over the relationship bug. Such a big thing promoted for v0.8.2.1 only to be messy like this. Here's the save file if you wanna check it. Hopefully it'll help squashing the issue.

I think you have to be in the Popular category (when you select Nerd, Rebel etc.) to even have a chance. Not sure if being short helps, but it's a lot easier on the other cheerleaders not having to throw She-Hulk up for a frontal flip on their shoulders.

Now i can't get out of My head the mental image of some HS girls trying to lift up She-Hulk, and getting squashed for their troubles.

Thank you

In my defense, the game actually mentioned that the girls were having trouble with my Amazonian height, but that they somehow managed :p

Needless to say, i did not get in...

What relationship bug are you talking about?

Also, the best way to get fixes is by submitting bug reports in the Discord. Thanks!

The save file I gave above is the one where Claire never cheats on Taylor, hence my confusion on the following pictures I provided.

I believe a combination of high athletics and dancing can also do it. I know I've made a character that was in both, and started in HS and Post-Secondary Cheerleading. I just don't remember the exact combination, as some of the background "genetics" stuff is handwavey unless you look at the variables set... and it's been a while since I tried that route, too many combinations of things to play around with.

Popularity can also do it, I believe it's an alternate option alongside for high athleticism.

So, can you check what’s wrong with the iOS online version? There is only one giant save slot that only goes to 8, basically giving only one save slot.

This has been fixed and will be shipped with the next public release(v0.8) once we release v0.9.
edit: If you grab any of the latest builds, it'll work on iOS.

Sorry for the inconveniences at the moment on the online build.

Release Day!
  • 0.8.4.1 for Sudden Agents
  • 0.8.3 for Origin
Happy Holidays to everyone! We're coming to the end of the year and the end of the 0.8 dev cycle. There have been so many additions, updates and improvements, the list would go on too long. That's boring. That's tedious. Instead, how about excitement? What will 0.8.5 contain?
  • Improved and Expanded Backpacker Gap Year
  • A new way to start the game -- an RPG-style open / character sheet
  • Loser Quick-Start Claire
  • And a new cup-size (clothing additions to follow)

Damn, getting stuck with only one trait sucks after being able to have like 6 before :(
That is indeed quite a game changer :D It feels somewhat odd though, that you are restricted to that, but on the other hand you can pick up every single kink before finishing college :D
