I can't help but wonder if some of you guys had merely sent a few bucks, or just let the guy do his thing without changing the recipe a million times, we might have had an update instead.

On his last hiatus, I defended the guy when everybody was piling on.

Now, I'm almost hoping he shuts this IP down for good.

OOF, abandoned? I checked his patreon page, and the latest starting post was back in march. I have no idea how active he is on the discord or in private discussions, but that isn't a great sign. I was interested in the idea of voting rights, though. Anyone know what exactly 20$ would let you do?

Abandoned for sure. At some point, he was going to burn out creating this shitty sandbox, and the art didn't help either. He was tracing over real porn, so the art wasn't original in that regard.

Despite so many people telling him to make a simple VN, he still chose the sandbox route, and now look at it. Abandoned at version 0.3.

I mean I understand the words, but this just sounds like a needless shot at him. That practice is hardly unique, you can find a bunch of scenes from something like ORS that were clearly traced from real-world porn. No doubt, game is abandoned, and that's a frustrating outcome, and I definitely don't agree with the sandbox implementation, but this is just a silly unneccesary pile-on.

Problem is this dev traces 100% without adjustment, making the characters look very inconsistent from one scene to another. The infamous one is when MC and his wife are watching TV. MC somehow looks like a 55 y/o man despite supposedly being a physically prime 20-30 y/o man.

He fixed it later, but other character models are left untouched. If he actually has good art fundamentals, that mistake wouldn't happen in the first place.
