Maybe all of this is a daydream of a 40 year old with dementia.
I realize I'm late to the party, although on the other hand I still beat the update. But this update to Lucy is awful. On an absolute level, the model is fine. If I saw her in another game, I'd be happy with her. I might even think "you know, she reminds me of someone..." After a while I might realize she looks sort of like Lucy from BBS.
I understand that the original model was limiting, although as so many have said most fans don't care about high resolution. No one cares about skin tones matching either. Everyone is already used to movies/tv shows and especially video games like this where one or more family members in a "white" family is hispanic, Eurasian, or something else while canonically fully blood related. What this all adds up to is that seeing Lucy in higher resolution means nothing if it doesn't look like Lucy anymore.
And why the darkened nipples, and why did they get so much bigger? That seems a purely personal decision and not one forced by supposed graphical limitations. Don't get me wrong; if Lucy had started out with darker nipples and the change was to lighter ones, I'd be opposed to that, because in either case my thought would be "that isn't really Lucy and those aren't her nipples". I think smaller, lighter nipples suit her overall appearance better though. Lucy to me always seemed like a "pink" person, like Jenny. The mom and Liza? Yeah, darker for them although not enough where I wonder if I misjudged their ethnicity.
One of the keys to any successful spin-off, knock-off, or fan fiction of someone else's work is to make believable changes to the characters if you have to make them at all. I don't think any of these changes need to be made, and they put the game at severe risk of losing a feeling of connection to the original. At some point you're just better off making your own game with your own characters instead if you feel the need to change what's already there too much.

There's no 14 year old out there even remotely living like Bobby. Theyd be in Juvenile jail doing a fraction of what Bobby does irl.
clearly he has bigger problems than the exchange of opinions with the people on the forum! 1.tried to upload a porn game from his workplace, 2. a chronic non-compliance with deadlines 3. to which are added the ridiculous justifications for the repeated delays and besides, if all this can cause him to lose his current job, he's not even very good at pleasing his potential customers
I guess he is also specialized in a branch of biochemistry - BS-stry!

Zip is not very good at endearing current and prospective customers to him that's for sure. I think maybe he doesn't understand that we pirates are not all full-time pirates. We sometimes, often even, purchase games on an ad hoc basis via Itch etc. I myself hate to subscribe because I forget whom I'm giving money to. i used to love this game, but I'm starting to lose interest, which is sad.
Zip is undeniably a talented dev. I wish I had a fraction of his skill. But he's repeating so many of the mistakes that Rainces and other people that wanted to continue the game have in mismanaging their supporters' trust, or in not keeping true to the game. I was initially very high on them too, especially because it seemed like he was keen to keep the look the same. I remember another dev who wanted to introduce new characters, including a heavily tatted woman who, while undeniably hot, didn't fit into the aesthetic of the game. Others wanted to change other key elements of the game, so for me were doomed from the start.
I also find myself less and less a fan of the "Dark" part of the game although that's entirely a "me" thing and not a Zip thing. I wanted Bobby to be darker in the original Bad Bobby, because that character was "Bad" only in the sense of being a loser and incompetent at everything. In contrast, in Dark Path we have an honestly evil Bobby whose path is mainly "i'm going to tie up every woman or drug them or both" which works as an option but I don't want that to be the entire game. I want to see Bobby maybe a little mean for selfish purposes, and not because he enjoys making others suffer. I was hoping for maybe blackmail, physically overpowering, trickery, or whatever, all so Bobby could have sex with his family. But I guess mainly I was just hoping for a somewhat spiritually faithful continuation of BBS where there was actually progress with the women. The more I see of Dark Path, the more I realize I'll have to keep hoping.

My comparison was the the guy in breaking bad had the background in chemistry not zip.
I know nothing about him personally, privately or friendly. My extent of knowledge begins and ends at "he makes a popular game <-> mod that is pretty good".
That is it... so the people talking as if some knowledge or lack of it doesn't explain the scope or give context to his real world knowledge or a lack of it, in general to any particular field. Then using this to come to the conclusion that this is why the game is not released, late or he is lying, is a delusional argument.
Use his history of (lacks and misdirection) as a accurate point of context not the contents of a post (least one of them being mine) to bolster a false narrative you have.
I was just comparing two guys extremely talented individuals; one having a chemistry background the other may or may not.
I want no part of dog piling on Dev just because.
1. No one is forcing you support a (any) Dev financially.
2. No Dev is obligated in anyway too release anything even if he (she it they them) states it will be dropped on _ date.
3. Devs do not make money here, f95z is a pirate site any contrarian understanding of this is quixotic.

1-yes, but when you follow the project from the beginning, you expect to see the conclusion
2-yes, the dev has to be obliged to deliver the project on X date!!! where have you ever seen something built, and never have a deadline?
this is Patreon's mistake and the like, not having a Roadmap policy and requirement to fulfill
3-yes win! I myself supported a lot by jeot that I met here in the forum! by the way this version of the game cost me $9.00! much more expensive than A game and even 100% complete AAA
anyway, if you like to be deceived and waste money, do not take the rights of others who do not like to charge content!
unfortunately I stopped supporting almost all games because of this: lack of roadmap and commitment

I agree with this. It's not that good to tolerate those kinds of things. He will just do it again when no one reacts badly to it. They will think that it's just Ok to lie and deceive people. Giving negative and positive comments is not a bad thing at all. Those people who say that
Stupid mind set. How do you say that Devs don't make money here if most of his supporter comes from F95zone? Patreon supports Devs to fund them to build their games not to give lies. Delaying it for a week or two is not that bad. It's just that he have been testing it since January. Lol.
