No Bud I don't think you understood my post at all. I'm not suggesting anything, I'm simply presenting the facts as I understand them.
Ziptiefun has stated on Discord that he didn't like certain mechanics in RAinces game and blamed them for some of the reoccurring bugs (mechanics like the stats system).
The House/Town etc, are not mechanics, those are art assets
There is no debate, ZipTieFun has stated on Discord that he is removing the Gameover due to feedback.
The "Dresses" came from RAinces version IIRC. You didn't get to see all the dresses because RAinces never finished them. Go talk to RAinces about that. (though I have no idea if they are "gone" or not, they could simply be on the "to do" list, maybe to be reintroduced when the club in brought back into the game)
You're seriously asking me to tell you about Zips motivations???? How would I know what he is planning?, I've can only tell you about what I've gathered from various sources.... Mind reading isn't one of them. So far all he has said on that account is that he is planning to reintroduce content when it feels right for the story.
I don't use discord. Why am I going to use discord, when I barely use a forum? I lurk. I will respond to that. It has a tone. Discord is pointless. It either update's, or it doesn't.
He's removing a feature he put in. One of the biggest differences between versions were the game overs. As well as a few other changes, most were never completed. They were all features he directly added. RAince's version had mini games for sneaking and punishment. DarkPath did not, it had game overs as the extra gallery scenes.
Art assets are part of the source code? Like any of the one's he added differently. The school, never finished, the departments in the store, the club was different. He put that in correct? The weight training, for the club, the club security guard missions never finished? He also did the Lucy update, with the blackmail, camera, and the different scenes with the dresses. Except for the other dresses that were never finished. There were x4 outfits. Did a second get used by Lucy in the update last year the green and the black dress. Her original dress was red? It was all Zip. When did Zip take over Darkpath? You can see this by the updated progression compared to the original game that was never finished and is now abandoned. It simply had RAince signature on it, and it wasn't worked on or updated by RAince for much much longer. Most of its additions were from Zip? As in all the content from the last two years prior to this one.
The basement, presently was added into the house. Like any other backgrounds, and differences. Removing stats, whatever. It has been replaced with kiss the drunk girl, x6, except no touching the drunk girl. You pay her to get drunk, but it's a kiss when she's drunk? Am I missing something like the tape and rope? Why am I training to fight, if there was no fight between them, and not with the game over, either on the oldest, or the middle Lucy? Openings of former versions, where sneaking stole the nail varnish then then phone. Stats that made sense. It led to the story.
The point being is progression doesn't seem very formulative. He's already done the shop assistant. But in his own house it's lick boob, and kiss drunk girl. Why build a basement suddenly out the blue, if it's simply to watch mum do yoga?
It is what it is. Except you're being misleading in your rhetoric. He's removing all RAince stuff. No, the game is still Bobby in more or less the same settings. Most of the stuff from this game's former version he'd previously dev'ed and done those updates anyway. Sure he's removed some features, the stats. Yes it was buggy, particularly DarkPath by comparison. The main error wasn't stats, it was locations not showing the person in them at the time of their quest, the room didn't show a icon of a member of the household in them, other times it did, and incomplete questlines. Giving the dresses were annoying as hell. Weight lighting freezing the game. Partially completed stuff inserted into the game and it running more bugs. It's smooth and sleek this time. Does it make sense. The formulation above is weird.
